It's nearly a great line-up. An attacking midfielder (Kranks or Tarbs) and it would look very exciting. As it is, we need to avoid going behind otherwise it could be another battering. Rio out with writers' cramp?
I wish we could make more of our set pieces - Zamora looking really good - hopefully he can run off that knock. Taarabt not even on the bench - is he out of condition, or out of favour again? Vargas can provide us with another strike option later in the game.
An easy dummy shot would have left him and open goal from 5 yards, we have to put these chances away or we will get punished!!
Commentator mentioned that we're actually tackling and taking fouls in this match, sticking very close to the Liverpool players, as they should have been doing in every other game we've played to date. We have the fewish number of fouls committed so far this season - tackling & fouls go together.
Really nice and satifying to see the whole team play with this level of intensity. A goal (for us) would cap off a very good 1st half.
