What a fantastic new owner he is
most clubs get owners who invest in the club but so far we still have a 3 sided ground and no idea if or when it will be a four sided one again we still have got a lousy pitch and yet again
no idea when we'll get a new one
    The chief executives left
The managers left and so has the most of the backroom staff
the top scorers gone and so have the two most creative players.
Why did he buy the club ?
    Is he a fan?

A fair synopsis. In answer to your questions :

Why did he buy the club? - He is just a front man for the real "new owner", who I believe is in property. He has been given a job, for which he is drawing a salary (approx £150,000 pa) which is not bad for a bankrupt ex property developer turned car wash owner.

Is he a fan? He is a local who has had no previous association with any football club, but he is now "enjoying" watching Watford! I have 2 friends who have knowledge of Watford's affairs, one who has had business dealings with Bazini (he is still owed money), and the other knows the Russo's. Neither of them have any time for Bazini, but the second one has an idea who Bazini is fronting for.

Basically Baz & co are trying to make some money out of the club AND trying to repay Lord Ashcroft - this means there needs to be asset sales. Simple really, but not good for us lifelong fans!

Well he did let Mackay go which I presume pleased you Garry?

    ;)

Sadly we seem have to found an onwer without any money which is typical of us.

I think Graham was always going whilst Mackay himself didn't rate Buckley and the club took the extra revenue from Sarries for staying longer.

Was a surprise to see Winter go and we still don't know why...

Lets hope for some positive news...but it worries me we got beaten by Charlton to a player we were linked to for ages and seemed keen to sign for us.

This seems like a WUM post to me!! We don't need this ATM, we have to hope that things will improve.

We dont have money for the ground works yet, so unless you can magic a few million out of nowhere I would sush.

The pitch was going to be replaced but there is no point with saracens playing on it, it will just ruin it and then you will complain it was a waste if money!

It is not his fault that the manager wanted to leave, the first decision was to deny permission to talk, but then Mm asked to be albe to talk and as we know it's no good having a manager who does not want to be there!!

We are assuming that there was a problem which caused Winter to leave, it might just be he had had enough and wanted a new job.

The two players we sold were sold for good money, Dg was always leaving, but surely even you can see that 3.5mill is better than 1.5!! Buckley was out of favour and therefore 1mill for a young player was a good deal!

We will never know why he bought the club, but conspiracies will jot help anything!!

Elixir- I thought we had all agreed that he could not take a salary or else the bonds have to be paid back immediately???

Yes things are a little strange, but conspiracies will not help anything!!!

I know what you mean Dan , but deep breath pal , I do think it is a good idea that all three of us agree on any deletions on this board ! which means we wait till Leo wakes up! who knows things may seem different after the anger has worn off a bit:(

Sounds fair to me, although I have to admit I did comment on the sheep shaggers board saying that the burger guy is still around if they want the whole club and that it's a joke!! I could have punched wall earlier!!!

I hear Bassini is also responsible for the world economic crisis, the slaughter of civilians in Syria and the Chilean ash cloud.

They say the grass isn't always greener on the other side...

Its the people who expected Bassini to come in and spend millions I feel sorry for.

They didn't read about his previous business dealings...which hardly inspired confidence!

Whats clear is our new owner has played his cards over the table to date. We cant judge yet as its what happens over the entire window that counts and then over the entire season. Just remember our end of season form, lets hope Malky has taken that with him, if Cardiff screw up this window will look a success especially if we hit the blocks running, remember those we have left are a year older and better now. I'm not happy we';ve not attracted the 5 or 6 signatures I see as necessary and I'm not forgetting Bassinis comment about a 25% increase in playing budget, I'm looking forward to seeing where its spent!!! Lets hope we're at the delicate tipping point of a bunch of high impact signings in.... COYH

I did think this was an odd post to start with--Mr gdb11572 seems to have come into this topic rather late, since it has been discussed at length in many posts. He brings nothing new to the discussion, so it is repetitive to respond. However, you could argue that just recently Mr B was showing a few signs of learning how to be a football club owner (under the tutelage of GT) . The latest developments over Cowie are showing him what kind of fast-moving business he has bought into. GT has made a strong statement warning Malky off any more poaching. We need a strong, positive statement from Mr B too (possibly in the form of a WO interview) to reassure the fans and create a positive mood for the start of the season.

We wont, we were discussing closing the thread as it has all the signs of Garry or another WUM, and with the history of arguements on this topic, i thought we did not need to go through it all again when tempers were high last night.

Guys this guy is a sad WUM. Every post he has made is attacking MM (when he first left), then Baz. Probably Garry or another low-life like him. I know everyone is entitled to different points of view but this isn't constructive.
