Maybe, but I'm not going to talk **** about him after he did his job and made some brilliant saves. I'll criticise him when he ****s up. McGregor and Harper have had their fair share of ****-ups this season, and I think the grief Jakupovic gets is a little unfair given the circumstances.
I'm not actually sure where he was supposed to be playing, the team sheet suggested he'd be playing behind the striker in a 3-5-1-1, but he seemed to spend most of the game on the left wing.
I'm watching MOTD late: When Fletcher was fouled by Forster at 2-0 it should have been a penalty to Sunderland and maybe even a sending off for the goalkeeper. The match could have been totally different then.
I thought MOTD was a bit unfair with Mertesacker. It's very difficult for a defender when the striker attacks the ball like Hernandez did.
I thought the commentator was a **** about Mannone. Free shots form inside the box and he didnt stop them!! Wow. He got a **** back pass and was to blame for giving it straight to them. But to say he had a personal nightmare was bollocks.
I've only seen the highlights on MotD, but he looked like he let two slip through his hands and then there was that pass to their player. In the context of an 8-0 defeat where the rest of the defence were shocking it may not seem so bad. However, conceding 3 goals through goalkeeping errors would be described as a "personal nightmare" in any other game. If Jakupovic had made the same mistakes in a match most on here would never want him playing for us again I would suspect. I'm not quite so fickle, but I would understand the sentinent. I hear Mannone has been pretty good so far this season though.
Let slip through his hands is a bit harsh. One from 6 yards and one from 16 yards. Think it was already in the net the first one, he'd ran right across his goal to get to it. Second one i would say its was more a case of did well to get a hand to a shot from 16 yards. Its like saying the Arse goalie got a hand to Abel's header, which he did, he shoulda saved it.
