Fabregas scored for Chelski as well today, another major colossal **** up from Wenger, and my o my his **** ups are stacking up. He should've gone on a high after winning the cup.
What interests me is Cesc said that Wenger didn't buy him because Ozil has his position covered, yet Ozil has been deployed wide and Cesc has been successfully deployed in a deeper role at Chelsea. As it is the Ozil excuse - if indeed true - doesn't wash. Then again, the squad is full of creative midfielders as it is.
Even when Ozil was shifted to the wing we still had Cazorla, Ramsey, Wilshere, or Rosicky covering his position. Fact is we're covered with creative midfielders. What we needed is a DM and a CB and from the looks of it we'll address at least one of those concerns in January.
Ok? And that still wouldn't have addressed the problem areas in the squad. We got stick about not getting a DM last season when we bought Ozil because we had Cazorla. Hell some posters on here even called said signing unnecessary. If we already have an abudnace of riches with creative midfielders why go for another one when DM and CB were and still are bigger priorities?
I say we go for Schneiderlin and van Dijik in January. Would probably use up all of the January transfer kitty. Still think we can manage with what we have until January. In all our games (barring Dortmund) its always been those fine margins. We get so close but just run out of steam when it comes to crossing the line.
There were no fine margins today, we were poor and didn't put them to the sword, same against Spurs, same against Leicester, and against City we just didn't have what it takes to hold on, and against Chelski we just didn't have what it takes to take them on either, no fine margins or bad luck against us. You don't go on this s**t run we're on just because of 'fine margins'.
And who knows by January you lot could have a far better chance of top 4 than us, so at that point, would he even want to come?
They're going to drop out eventually, there's always one team who gets off to a fast start and then falters badly.
Don`t be too sure about this, they look strong at the moment but not sure what their depth is like once injury and suspensions kick in.
Since Dortmund beat us 2-0 they've been 1-1-4 in all competitions and are 14th in the Bundesliga after 8 games. Crazy.
You'd better hope that happens in 2017 as I doubt Wenger will vacate his current position before then.
Klopp will be with Dortmund until LVG has finished his time at OT, then he will be our manager unless someone better comes along
