Cheers mate, excellent post, the supporters are incredible considering we've done nowt for decades.

I don't agree about a refund though, it's part of being a supporter ....... I doubt you were given much when Portsmouth were winning things and you looked finished.

My 2 year old daughter is recovering from a broken arm....I'm pushing her and her affections out of the way so i can see my computer screen better and plopping her down in front of Peppa Pig on the gogglebox! What an awful dad I am!

I'm absolutely certain I have seen fouls where the ref has played advantage the ball has gone out of play and it was brought back for the foul as no advantage was gained.
I'm not trying to score points here mate just trying to get my head around it. <ok>
I knew that if someone hits someone in the penalty area waiting for a corner it would be red and no penalty, just the corner taken as per normal..
This was during live play and the keeper took out Fletcher where the ball ended up shouldn't come into it.
And if the rules don't cover this eventuality the rules are wrong.
Haven't seen a replay so haven't seen exactly if the ball was out.
But that **** Mariner had already made up his mind he was giving us **** all, no matter where the ball was.

You are right MR, if the foul is committed when the ball is in play, the referee can play advantage and if no advantage is gained can bring the play back to the original foul, even if the ball subsequently goes out of play.

I also think that this is what Marcus means and this disagreement is just crossed wires. <ok>

Odd game - we were crap for half an hour but found ourselves three up.

Huge credit to your travelling fans. Absolutely fantastic and didn't stop singing despite what must have been a horrible day. Hats off to them.

Aye mate amazing how some of our team let their heads drop and hid later on.
If they had half the bottle of our travellers I wouldn't be as down as I am right now.

What a strange bloody game football is ! Everybody in my area was saying how well Sunderland were playing for the first 15 - 20 mins and we couldnt believe we were 2-0 up during your good period !! We were just shaking our heads in amazement at that og - wtf was he doing ! Then we started to get it together and it all went down hill from there on for Sunderland. Your defenders were doing really daft things in the final 20 minutes and it could have got into double figures. The form book said that this was going to be a hard fought game, but luckily for us it wasnt. Just one of those days guys, great for us, crap for you - but i have had long journeys home after a stuffing up north too.
Your travelling support were great - far better than your black & white neighbours when they were here a few weeks back. Hope the rest of your season goes a lot better than today.

As a saint supporter son of Geordie parents, Got to say on fans support Sunderland were top four. I have never seen a game where the rub went so completely one way. At the times your boys played football they looked good, caught well, just pants up front. Think you may still be ok for the season. I just hope our bubble don't burst any time soon....enjoy it while it lasts.
Really glad to get 8 over Poyet, can't stand the guy from his time he was manager of Brighton. All the best to your fans though!

Yep no offence to the Sunderland fans but it is soo sooo satisfying putting 8 past Poyet's charges. 8 - 0 to the Dagenham and Redbridge kick and rush team :)
