On 606 Newcastle fans having a go at each other, but they were introduced by being delighted that Sunderland were tonked today.
Hmm, standing with the wrong fans..? Badge looks a bit wrong. Hey, perhaps he's just overcome by it all..? It is rarefied territory.
Saints won 8-0 and were awarded three points. That's their reward for being the better side. That is why sports is kind of awesome. People can say what they want, at the end of the season the standings are all that matter. Does Tadic need me to fly over and present him with a shiny penny for being my Man of the Match? I couldn't care less what Robbie Savage or the Daily Echo think about Saints, and I would hope the team feels the same way.
Yes, good caller re Clyne, and made the point that the player should play because of ability, not on legacy.
Yes, I completely agreed with the caller. Fletcher was defending the indefensible there and almost backing into a corner with it. He should have known that, as a Saints supporter, the caller would have known about the qualities Chambers brings to a game. We don't just think Clyne is the better RB. We KNOW.
Well played, we've lost 3 (WHU), but out of Man U, Tottenham and southampton you were the only team that deserved the three points.
Just on their penalty shout - What on earth is a keeper supposed to do with a striker clean through and on the six yard line? He's got got to try and block it and that will inevitably result in contact. For my money, the fact that Fletcher got his effort away renders anything that happens afterwards irrelevant. No penalty for me and I'd honestly feel the same if it had been Pelle through at the other end. I bet it splits opinion on MOTD.
Just got in from a rather enjoyable afternoon, great atmosphere, shame there were empty seats? We seem much more direct than last season when a lot of our good approach play would have come to nothing? My MOTM was Steve Davis, but Tadic, Clyne and Bertrand were pretty impressive?
Well, if it was the same caller I heard (I've not been listening to all of 606, as popped out for a beer!) he was a Liverpool fan, and also berated Roy's managerial skills!
