Cracking result for a team having a very good time of things after a difficult summer. All credit to you, well done.

Doesn't make it any more acceptable for us to lose like that. We were a ****ing disgrace.

I will not call for Poyet's head either but he should shoulder some of the blame, I think he showed naivety.

Before the game I was 100% sure he would have packed the midfield and was surprised when he started with Fletcher and Wickham.

Having said that even Koeman said, post match, that he couldn't believe the score when they were 2-0 up.

We looked a good side, first half, but in my opinion it is reckless to go away from home and play open expansive football. <wah>

Well done Southampton though, they have quality down that right side. <ok>

I realise that. It would still have been preferable to actually witnessing the massacre.

I don't think it was tactical where we went wrong. It think it was a mix of spineless players giving up, players losing concentration and a couple of cases of bad luck.

Haven't even looked what has gone before, but if ever a ref has changed a game then this is it...Mariner has always had it in for us and hopefully after this he will not be allowed to ref one of our games again..

You wouldn't get a penalty mate, the defender would be sent off, but you cant get a foul unless the ball is in play.<ok>

I simply cannot agree with this mate. Nothing at all to do with the Ref, it was unprepared, spineless players who just give up. They were an absolute disgrace and to suggest anything else, well, we are bigger and better than that.

That as well Bri, but as I said, in my opinion it is reckless to play open expansive football away from home.

We don't score enough goals to try to out score the opposition, we need to prevent them from scoring first of all and the way you do that under normal circumstances, is packing the midfield.

The mistakes we made and the players bottling the second half are not normal circumstances though.

Thanks for proving my point. In the above example Mr the foul was before the goal and, as such, the ref can change his decision. He cannot give the foul against the scoring side if the foul occurs after the goal has been scored/ball has gone out of play

It would have been nice to have seen what the outcome of the game would have been if we were given the penalty, and scored, but I cant see past blaming the players and manager at the moment!

Well I did not see that coming. I have to say the fans that travelled down are a huge credit to your club - they did not stop singing all game. I sincerely hope they get a full refund.

I honestly dont know where to put myself at the moment! Staring blankly at various footy websites to try and make head nor tail as to what happened! Gonna have to switch off in a minute and get back to more important things in life! That bloody bastard Sunderland affecting my brain and superseding my priorities......again!
