I heard he gave an ultimatum i.e asked for £x amount or he'd go. Pistol said "catch ye wee man" No one will know the real reasons unless Lennon/Pistol/Desmond spills the beans.
The truth of the matter is written in a code which can only be read by Kevin Thomson and is carried, Grail like, stitched into Alan Gows white cap.
It was a radio interview on five live plus it can't be arsed searching for it. You believe your made up follow follow story about lennon chasing after young girls if you want.
http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/football/lennon-i-saw-celtics-crushing-defeat-coming.1406816249 I defo believe the ultimatum thing....
Bolton's debt is owed to its owner and so it's not as bleak as it looks, just sneaky in my view for an owner to "lend" money that must be paid back. Not against clubs paying their own way but an owner should be prepared to "lose" some money.
Depends on how he has leant ye the money. If it's interest free the he is losing millions that he could earn lending to someone else. You also benefit from not paying interest and sinking unto even greater debt
He says many things in that piece Eric, he's seemingly given funds as one of the reasons he left but he also says the loss of Rangers, Hearts and Hibs to the SPFL was another, in summary, according to him - in that article - there were many reasons he left. But what did you expect him to say, that he gave the board an ultimatum which backfired or that he was having a fling with some lassie? As I said at the start, I don't necessarily believe any of the myriad stories about his departure, I am just finding his leaving a bit strange to fathom. Maybe he's telling us the whole truth but that should certainly be no barrier to discussing the situation and his reasons for leaving.
