Murray was all over Nadal until that one shot, he was playing him off the park.

I think it's a bit of both. Nadal struggled to find his feet early on and Murray couldn't shake off losing stupid points he should have made.

Another cheer as Murray wins a point for his own serve now.

Precisely, you have got the feeling that if Murray is ever going to win a GS then something is going to have to happen to Nadal, Djokovic, Federer and Del Potro.

To be fair to Murray he is an ok player but he is just miles away from the likes of Nadal and he is just a bit pathetic.

He's capable of beating any of them on his day but he's not consistent enough or as mentaly tough as Federer or Nadal.

Yes but on his day they have to be playing below par as well.

He can beat them yes, but you feel that if it is in a late round or a final. He will bottle it.

Just because he outplays him for a period of a match it doesn't mean he is supposed to beat him. There are countless examples of smaller teams playing bigger teams and giving them the run around for the first period of the match only to get twatted 5-0 by the end of the game.

Not really. Murray was in control of this match but fell apart mentally. He has beaten all of those guys before.

I would actually put him as 3rd best in the World. Djokovic, despite his record this year, has never impressed me, he doesn't hit many winners, he just hits the ball in and waits for his opponent to make a mistake.

what did i say no stamina. will do ok i the beginning then fall apart

He was never all over nadal, nadal knew to bide his time.

Problem with british sportsmen is that they think the have 'made it' as soon as the money comes in, then its downhill

It doesnt help that media, fans hype em up

eddie the eagle is a hero for losing ffs

he beats them for fun in some of the smaller tournaments, but its no coincidence he falters in the bigger events.

in 3 grand slam finals, he's yet to win a set. against federer you can probably let him off..but he never looked in it against djokovic at the AO.

federer might be faltering, but hes still only 29. nadal is someone who will probably surpass his GS total, djokovic looks the finished product, and del potro has the GS monkey off his back.

i think he'll win one. possibly NY. but i cant see him getting many more

beating them in best of 3 set matches and best of 5 are completely different animals.

if its so easy to do what djokovic does, why doesnt everyone do it? his backhand is the best in tennis..he hasn't looked impressive since getting beat by federer at the french but before that he was playing brilliant stuff and is rightly and deservedly ranked higher than murray
