Intructions from the top... All nudity is to be removed from the publicly available boards with immediate effect. Yes including nipples. This excludes password protected areas. The site administration team have decided jointly that mods need to remove any porn / nudity posts and links from their boards. If there are a lot in one area, supermods can permanently delete whole threads (if requested). Failure to do so by mods will result in supermods doing so instead, if mods do not wish to carry out these duties, they need to resign and new mods will need to be appointed. Any members that decide they wish to break the new forum rules will be banned for a minimum of 72 hours, increasing with each ban. Members that decide they want to throw abuse in the direction of the administration team will also be removed. This as been implemented due to these issues causing untold work for the supermods and site problems with google resulting in banning from searches and advertising. Please respect these new rules as they will be followed and adhered to! Edit: this includes half dressed sexy images that don't actually show anything too.
So, do I understand this correctly, does this new rule mean you have to go through all the old stuff and remove the offending material? Surely that's an impossible task, won't you just have to delete all the old dead threads? There are thousands of 'em.
No, I think what's done is done and only relates to new stuff. Unless Gerrez has volunteered to go through and delete it
Moved your comment here and opened the thread as I don't want the issue spreading across other threads We've been told not to worry about old content by Mick so that's what I'm doing. I don't know if he intends on fishing it all out somehow but he did tell me it would go with time anyway.
I don't know how others feel about this but I have asked about a password protected area for our board (and others as a general enquiry). Mick as told me he is going to look into it as he believes that could be a "elegant solution" This would mean people could do whatever they wanted without worry
I don't think it's needed. our board doesn't really have that many issues with nudity posts anyway and think it would end up just causing a clique in the forum and that's the last thing we need
Well, I've already asked the question so lets see where it goes. If we (the Liverpool posters) decide not to use it then maybe we (LFC mods) could use it for running the board instead?
That's called pm system. Frankly I'm fine with this all as after all it WAS a football forum and in case anyone has not notices in it's prime had 10k users and now was about 800 max Lfc board needs new blood not guys perving over pics any old google search can find for themselves I'm going to presume someone will test the limits by posting bikini/lingere shots of some girls now and write some filth to show how silly it is if they've not done so already on whatever board
Tend to agree with mito here. Although I'm mostly against censorship on principle, this is a football forum first and foremost, so there's no pressing need for jizzpics on here. There's plenty of scope on the OT threads for a wide range of subject matter that doesn't contravene the ruling, so we're not exactly strait-jacketed. Is this something to do with the server change, incidentally?
I'm guessing that's in response to my suggestion that a private area could be used by mods? If so, my thoughts on this was it would help when there is a change in moderation. there could be a running thread within this area that says who is banned and why for example. Only a thought though Personally, I don't care either way. Just looking to see if there is a way of improving our board. Nor am I fussed about requesting a ban as highlighted in the OP should one of a our regulars continuously break the rules that have been set here.
