    When did I say we are a top 4 team or we could buy the cream of the crop i never.
    The point i am trying to make is you need to spend to get some one half decent i am not saying crazy prices but not in general freebies.
    And regarding changing the record sorry if talking about todays current concerns bothers you.
    If you could see out of ashleys arse why would we be confident of him doing the right thing he never has done in the past

    He was free because we exploited a release clause in his contract due to extensive scouting.

    You dont need to spend loads on players. How much was Tiote? Fabregas cost less than a million pounds. Bargains exist, get over it.

    Were you on another planet when we were trying to sign Gameiro, Gervinho or Erdinc? They are all players who are in the realistic realm of being signable and we have tried very hard to get them here. They also would have cost in the region of £10m each give or take.

    Unfortunately we were not successful but we have been very active in the market very early. The european window has only just opened and we have two months to go. Where has it been stated by the club that we are not still looking for a couple of players of this calibre?

    You have dismissed these efforts as if they are of no importance and harp on about proven 20 goal a season players like they are commonplace and easy to sign.

    If having my head up MA's arse means I am aware of the realities of our financial situation and the difficulties of signing decent players then I would rather be there than in the cloud cuckoo land you are currently residing in!

    Agree, my judgement is reserved for the time being, only opinion I have on Pardew is that he's doing ok thus far
