Talksport just commenting on ticket prices (ST).Bayern Munich, not sure the exact figures as I'd just started listening, most expensive just over £500 cheapest £109.Fabulous prices compared to Prem league.

How do they do it?Probably don't pay obscene wages.

    Club (I think responded with)

Not a big difference between top and lowest price for season ticket holders
ST prices = £21 per game per season
Very high percentage of seats taken up by ST
    No increase in 4 seasons
All unrestricted views (some clubs had a better rating because some tickets are discounted because of restricted views)
Almost all home games sold out.

I was in Madrid at Easter 2012 and tried to get a ticket for a mi-week Euro game. The cheapest (only) ticket €90 !!
Watched in TV in a bar instead :)

fans are so gullible accepting that clubs are treating them as mugs...they may as well have the word tattooed on their forehead and be done with it..<laugh> You have to be a wally to spend way way over the top to watch 22 rich men kick a bag of wind when you can see any top game you wish for the price of your broadband. I have not missed one swans match and i saw them for free.....thats the way forward to get the word Mug erased from your brow...<ok>

I heard the chairman on the radio and he said the club only misses out on about £2-3m. An amount that would be a 5 minute negotiation if it was for a player transfer. Why take that money out of the pockets of people that can't afford it?

    Smart guy.

It's to do with greed mostly by the players themselves. I have been a paying supporter of the swans for over 56 years and in the early days it was a very affordable hobby because thats all it is is a hobby and i followed them everywhere, there was price rises in them days but they were affordable price rises of a couple of bob on the ticket price. The minute Jimmy hill in those days fought and won for players to negotiate their own pay was the first time i said that this is terrible as it will open the flood gates in the years to follow. Remember now that the players were earning well over the national average wage at the time so they were financially much better off than most people. Today as predicted football has lost the plot and its the fans who now have to pay well over the odds to watch a football match while the players enjoy obscene wages that are not justifiable in any shape or form. The Fan on an average wage and below are struggling to go and support their team and some are getting into debt by going because of the love of watching your chosen team. It's as if it's a cool thing to do and clubs are encouraging this behavior. The swans was nothing more than an addiction for me and i never gave a second thought about buying 3 season tickets a season for me and my family but one day last season when i read rooney is to get nearly £300k/week I began to weigh the situation up and i thought with food banks popping up all around the country and news reports of poverty in our country we are being taken in as mugs and by going to matches i am enabling the situation and i made a decision there and then that not just the swans but anything to do with football i will stop giving my hard earned cash (i can afford it by the way) into their coffers. It is not worth it anymore and i could not careless if any of them go out of business including swans. Greed is one of the deadly sins and one day it will catch up with them.....

Yes, I spotted that Boundy but kept quiet for once.

Looks like our resident court jester has contempt for us 'mugs' that are stupid enough to part with hard earned cash to support our team. <doh> Apparently he stopped going to games when Rooney (not our player) got his big payday. Really? Personally I doubt he's been to a live game for a long time as it comes across in his posts sometimes.

'Number 1 Fan' my ass. What a contemptible berk.

Manchester City sell the cheapest adult season ticket in the top flight at £299. That's cheaper than 15 clubs in the Championship, 10 clubs in League One, four in League Two and one in the Conference? Swansea sell under-16 season tickets from £79. The Price of Football 2014: Swansea a 'model' for other clubs.

Swansea City is a model for other clubs in the Premier League, says football finance expert Tom Cannon. BBC Sport's Price of Football study has found Swansea's most expensive season ticket costs less than the cheapest at nine Premier League clubs. The biggest annual Price of Football study covers 176 clubs in British football across 11 divisions.

"Swansea City are very commendable in their approach," said Professor Cannon of the University of Liverpool. Swansea's most expensive season ticket is £499, only £70 more than the club's cheapest season ticket. By comparison, the cheapest season ticket at Queens Park Rangers costs £499 and at West Ham fans pay at least £620.

The Swans are in their fourth season in the Premier League after securing promotion through the Championship play-off final in 2011. Cannon commended Swansea for sustaining their Premier League status while keeping tickets at affordable prices. "What you've had at Swansea City is a very steady investment in the team... while at the same time offering the fans a pretty good deal," he added. "[It's] one of the best managed clubs across British football in terms of actually producing a return and still having relatively low prices. -BBC

I am very proud of my club and the way in general it has conducted itself in this very Greedy League, and I look forward to getting my season ticket back when the expansion takes place, I have been on the waiting list since our Wembley promotion, but I still get to see games due to having so many friends with season tickets who do not go to all the games, also there seems to be more tickets available for general sale this season, so no complaints from me.

When I cannot go to games, I watch the Swans without fail in HD from special software that enables me to get the SKY SPORTS Channel from Germany Holland and Russia etc.......................<cheers>

I don't give a damn whether it's legal or not, there is nothing Sky or the Premier league can do about it, Dragon enterprises is doing very well thanks to my friends from Europe, Vive La L'Europe!........................<laugh>
