Agreed. This was discussed last night and apparently its the job of the box office to decide if the buyer is a legitimate rangers fan, before they send the ticket out. Viagogo give the club a list of the sellers and a list of the buyers.

The solution lies with the club. The people buying the tickets on Viagogo are clearly not members. The club is CHOOSING to sell them tickets. The club should only do this if the buyers prove they are a member which of course they won't. Make the club change their policy with regards to Viagogo.

Well done all, reading between the lines it looks, as has been pointed out, that next season will see this issue re-appear. If the consultations over the location of the family stand are as short lived as I imagine they will be, then its a stay of execution.

The club really are short on ideas and commitment.

My opinion is that for next season, nothing is set in stone. However TBH I wouldn't bet that the Family Stand will be moved from its current location. I think that is really a long shot. I think that most fans think its in the wrong place, but listening to the club last night there are some very good reasons why they made that decision. Its just a shame that they consulted with no one over the issue.

Looking forward, I think its now up the club to consult as the have promised for next season, but the issues that have caused the recent problems have only been given a stay of execution. Lets hope that the club do not want to go back down that path again. I cannot think of a reason why they should, but you never know.

What reason do they give for not using the Paddock as the family area?

Hmm, that's not much of a reason is it?

    It's the obvious place.

I think the obvious place is Lower School End, but they said that there have been some very experiences with the away fans above

Lower school end won't work because that is full of away fans for some fixtures.
The regulars in the Paddock won't want it to be there and I would imagine that would go for all other areas too.

Maybe the solution is to not have a family stand until we have built the new stadium (if it happens).

    That's why I go there
You must have banter at a football match IMO
There have been a couple of times last season when the QPR fans in z6 have been ejected ... You also do get kids in there anyway and the club does nothing to protect them anyway

Against Brighton last season the stewards were only interested in the sexual chants towards Brighton

Maybe put the away fans lower school end? Of course large away fan groups take the total away end anyway

The kids would be safe and covered there but of course that restricts the away fans from taking over the entire end

It's a difficult one as LR is simply not geared up for premiership football

Giving away fans one end and then making the other a family area isn't exactly the best for our football.

With little to back it up in terms of evidence, it does seem to be a truism that teams like shooting towards their own, most vocal fans (I did do a cursory search for any studies but couldn't find anything).

You wouldn't get the Kop moved to the side and the way it is currently set up (especially with a full away allocations) it favours our opponents more than us.

I think it should just be universally cheap kids prices around the ground with some "no under 14s" areas in key positions.
