Feel sorry for Scotland, made their best start to a group for ages and still have a mountain to climb. Ireland vs Scotland should be interesting next month. Infact that whole group looks interesting the way its panning out.
Thank you John O' Shea you beautiful beautiful man! Heading to Glasgow for it. Can't wait now!No sign of Long again tonight, seems to have fallen out of favour somewhat
They're quite a distance from their best but to be fair that injury/absentee list of theirs is horrendous Schurrle Schweinsteiger Khedira Ozil Howedes Reus Gomez Schmelzer Add on the recent retiree's Lahm Mertesacker Klose That's a lot of 1st teamers missing especially in the midfield. Not to mention loss of the captain and most of the experienced lads.
They were desperate for a result. Not a time to go for a new face in central defence. More excusable than Hodgson's dealings with Clyne
Nay, he just got named captain....not that it matters, he's been injured for pretty much 47 years running now so he might as well be retired.
Decent footage of that Serbia - Albania brawl. Dont think either side is blameless here but the part that would really concern me is the steward/serbian assistant who appears to be egging on the rampaging crowd at 2.15
Obviously the players are involved and have a certain responsibility for the whole thing kicking off but most of it seemed the be about individuals from the crowd running on and lashing out.
I think they shouldn't of been drawn together. They stopped Spain playing Gibraltar and Israel play in Uefa to stop certain ties. Why not with this?
Very good point! something that won't get reported is that the Serbian government asked school teachers to encourage the school children to go to this match - what an impression they will have got!
