Potentially two lads in action tonight... Sone Aluko’s Nigeria face Sudan in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier. Mohamed Diamé and his Senegalese international team-mates take on Tunisia in another AFCON2015 qualifier.
Doesn't look like Aluko will be away in January - Nigeria are in a deep hole. Looks good for Senegal, who should be fine as long as they avoid defeat tonight.
It's a good point. Hope he flies back direct from Tunisia, rather than heading back to Senegal first.
I suspect they will all fly back together to Dakar, then tomorrow he will head for UK which means he may well meet the team in London on Friday, seems little point travelling up to Hull and then back again if he flies into London.
AFCON update: Nigeria got their win, 3-1 over Sudan - but coach Stephen Keshi was still sacked afterwards! Aluko came on for the last half-hour (it was 1-1 when he came on). Senegal lost in Tunisia, so it's beginning to look like Egypt v Senegal next month is almost a straight battle for second place. (Egypt must win and then avoid defeat in Tunisia; for Senegal, a draw in Egypt should be enough as they'll beat Botswana at home). The result of the night was Ivory Coast 3 DR Congo 4, as Kalou dragged Ivory Coast back from 3-1 down before they then conceded a late winner. DR Congo move above them into second place. Cape Verde are as good as through already. Not bad for a bunch of tiny islands with a population of 500k.
