One thing I want to re-iterate is that to buy tickets in the Lower Loft on a game by game basis, you still need to meet the entry requirements and have a child in your group. That hasn't changed.

The discussion was purely about Season Ticket holders gaining access without their children.

Happy Birthday Sussex and congratulations on your victory in resolving the issues of immediate concern, for this season at least. If only our team had as much resolve and fight in them as yourself and other season ticket holders obviously do.

I recall previously that Viagogo ticket re-sale concerns were discussed here, e.g. potentially allowing away fans into the LL family stand - just wondering if this item was discussed at the meeting?

For the upcoming Liverpool game there appears to be only a single LL ticket currently available:-

LOFTUS ROAD LOWER Section: JL - Description: 1 Junior Row: P £75.00

    Important Information
    General Notes
All tickets are subject to booking and handling fees.
You must be a QPR supporter to purchase these tickets.
viagogo and QPR reserve the right to cancel orders from buyers suspected to be fans of the opposition.
Event times are subject to change. Please refer to QPR for official timings.
All sales are final, no cancellations.
You must be a junior / young adult / senior citizen to be eligible to purchase the relevant concession ticket.

Hi Kilburn, it was discussed briefly. The club are going to look at how its policed I think, which is the clubs job when receiving ticket sales info from viagogo. Apparently on a viagogo sale its the club that actually issues the ticket and it is therefore their job to check that its legit.

I would just like to say well done SussexR. As an ex-LL ST holder, I am delighted with the outcome.

Well done for fighting your corner and representing so many loyal R's who sit in the lower loft.

You make me proud to be an R.

Thanks for the update - out of curiosity for that Junior LL Family stand single ticket listed on Viagogo @ £75, what would the normal cost of that ticket be, and would the recipient have to be accompanied by someone with an adult LL ticket, so the reverse of your original complaint, i.e. an adult without their child.

I think its price would be £22 but I don't think they would need to be accompanied, but of course they'd need to be a junior (U16). One of the problems with all of this is they've made it so bloody complicated (or is it my age?)

Thanks mate. Its taught me a lesson too, don't give in and accept the c**p. At one point I was teetering on the edge. Particularly when I was having to defend the principles involved with some people on messageboards.

Thanks, I'm in the same boat!

So perhaps that solitary junior ticket is being sold by someone whose U16 child cannot attend this match, and thanks to your agreement they are now able to attend legally, with or without child, in the family stand.

    well done and happy birthday
whoever thought a family stand behind a goal was a good idea needs to be taken out of their comfy directors area matchday seat and made to sit there

    Great result Sussex.

Well done on all the efforts you made on behalf on The Lower Loft ST's holders.

I'm glad that the rest of us could help (be it in a limited way) & common sense has prevailed for this season at least.

I can completely understand that the club wish to avoid adults using junior tickets for free admission & I hope that they can stop this (if it is indeeed the case) but talk about overkill!

Please keep my E Mail Susse, just in case it is needed in the future!

    Again, bloody well done Sir!

    Hi Sussex,

Sorry, just caught up with this (I read the OP and thought it was a request for member and ST support only so took a backseat - sorry).

Congratulations - the hefty combination of principle, determination and invested time has won the day (or season) and that time and effort was yours. You won the battle (which is a big step in winning the war).

If I can be any help in the future - I'm particularly adept at overly wordy e-mails (although whether there's anything of merit in them is a different matter!!) then let me know - I'll always chip in on the side of reason (I think).

All the best and again well done!

    Matt

    PS Belated Birthday wishes.

Thanks for all the kind messages everyone. I'm only too pleased to have been able to do something with a (hopefully) positive outcome.

Maybe now we can concentrate on helping our team win some football matches.

Once again thanks for the kind words, and also for the people who put in some effort of their own to give me the complaint emails. Just reading some of them made me realise what a just cause it was.

that's probably about it yes. I'm not sure if you're supposed to be able to sell an U16 on its own on viagogo without an adult ticket. However logic tells me (whenever has that been relevant you might say) that if you sell an U16 as an U16 (and not an adult) then it shouldn't be a problem. As I mentioned its all so bloody complicated.

You can sell an U16 ticket on Viagogo on it's own. I have sold one a few times. Mostly people from overseas buy them and as far as I can make out, the people buying them support the away team.

In my opinion, it is not right that people can do this in members only areas of the ground..
