Yes, sad to see him go but must remember the good times and the fine skills he brought to the Swans over the past five years.

Can't begrudge him a new start, but I'm not sure if Bolton would have been my choice.

Thanks Darren for the memories... and his last goal against Forest in the semi-final will go down as a classic and the ideal way to leave your mark!

The one position we didn't need is midfield :D but we'll take him. The fact that you are all 'sad' to see him go suggests that he is good :)

Sorry to see him go ,he's been a goodun for the club...on a lighter note, our little Championship neighbours from up the road are slagging us off again, saying we can't hold on to players..obviously premiership talk is MUCH more interesting than championship fodder.even if it is verbal testicles:emoticon-0116-evilg

We've only lost two players!! Taylor might go but still with us for now. How many have Cardiff lost 6+, oh sorry they were on loan.:emoticon-0100-smile

Getting back to the thread, we all knew Pratley was going to leave, so we can treasure that Forest goal as a parting gift!! Good luck Darren, you will be missed.

Knew this was coming and wish him all the best. Apart from a couple of injuries and a period last season where he seemed to lack effort, he's been one of our best players.

cracking player and a top bloke, although his last season with us wasn't his best I will still give him a cheer when he comes back down the Liberty. He was a big part of our success and I will never forget what he done for our club <ok>

Apparently he's said that he never felt wanted at Swansea as we put contract negotiations on hold.

I think that's a real stupid thing to say.

He must think he can get a game with them.

There are only a few clubs in the Prem that are clear leaders and at this point in the season would be absolutely delighted to take a point from .... as for the rest it's going to be just like last season, on any given day anybody can beat anybody; but because of our style I like our chances much better than the others. The point I'm making is we have just as much right to be confident in our success on the field as any other club; as for infrastructure, becoming a "big" club takes time, vision and discipline - we are a work in progress and have been since the victory over Hull seasons ago.

Why Bolton, why Wolves ... makes no sense to me, for the players it's here and now and what happens on the field is far more important than how many people you have in the stands blah, blah, blah. As we showed 30 years ago at our dear old decrepit Vetch field - you don't need a massive stadium etc to beat the likes of Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal et al, you just have to make it happen on the field.
