The British Media cannot stop twisting things, because Sterling asked to be rested they went mad. His body belongs to him he knows where the pains are, after all he is still young and we do not want him burnt out. RHC please ask your reporter friend to present our case. Thanks.
I honestly think Hodgson did it deliberately to put pressure on Liverpool and Rodgers, and to take attention away from the abysmal display his team put on. It'll be very interesting to hear what Rodgers has to say in his press conference this week
He didn't ask to be rested. He told Roy he wasn't 100%. There's a difference. Roy has an agenda with LFC. Even more so now that BR called him out over his handling of Sturridge. Roy's a useless old fool
I agree with this, except the 'fool' business. There's something more sinister going on in that lisping, bouffant head: remember the deliberate over-playing of Sturridge in a friendly last spring during the title run-in to 'test his loyalty'? All that said, other posters and myself stated at the beginning of the season when Suarez went that the whole hopes of Liverpool, and now to some extent England, are being heaped on to a 19-year-old who's been an ever present since last November and has had barely a rest all summer. He needs to be rested at club level too - but the injury to Sturridge has meant that hasn't, in Bron's opinion, been possible. Christ, we even played him for 120 mins against Boro in a LC game. We're hardly in a position to berate England for doing the same. had to laugh listening to Steve Pundit Claridge on 5 Live on Sunday though. Debating this, he opined that it was Liverpool's duty not to overplay Sterling so that he could be fit to play in what he himself had already opined were meaningless qualifiers against pitiful opposition who shouldn't even be in the competition. Infact, he said we could have played a Championship side against San Marino - so why the **** we should be resting Raheem for the benefit of anyone else but LFC is the question. Don't think his massive intellect saw that contradiction though.
Its rodgers fault entirely. Playing sterling v boro was a laughable decision. Roy obviously wants his best players available (needs all tye help he can get) and a young lad dropping out due to tiredness is a shocking excuse. Not sure what agenda roy has against Liverpool but i look forward to tye hilarious rants filled with nonsense explaining why. For me its the opposite way round and liverpool have tye agenda with roy. Just move on.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...ver-Raheem-Sterling-recovery-says-expert.html Think I explained that, thanks to Woy injuring Studge, Liverpool felt the need to play Raheem more than they'd have wished. Unarguably, the Switzerland game apart, Woy could have picked a squad of England players from our top two leagues and still beaten San Marino and Latvia. Sterling IS bearing the weight of having to carry Liverpool this season (in no small thanks to Woy's handling of Studge). Why the **** you believe Woy 'Needs all his best players available' for any games after the WC except Switzerland is ****ing laughable.
Did roy dive in a kung fu kick sturridge in the teeth? No. He got injured. Happens. Not sure what roy has done here bar grown a few extra necks.
There's really no need to make such strenuous efforts to suggest you know nothing about football. He doesn't have to physically assault him to be responsible, does he?
You do realise that in trying so hard to make this appear to be Liverpools fault you are making yourself look quite stupid
Hodgson doesn't believe in medical science. One day of rest was good enough for the Lord. There is no evidence to support the claim that the Earth is more than 10,000 years old. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy pitch with mingled seed: neither shall a kit mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee. He that curseth his manager shall surely be put to death.
So again. Why is it roys fault? I hate moyes, could blame him for our poorer results this season but i dont. why is roy to blame. If it's obvious i will get a simply and straightforward response that answers the question rather than avoid it.
You should sell sterling now while you can. Once people catch on that the old timer can't play every few days at 19 ****ing years old then nobody will want to sign him. Sterling must have eyes on joining a part time football club like united.
