Saturday brings a visit from Sunderland a team that we’ve failed to beat since our return to the top flight although we did complete the double over them in the Premiership back in 2003. I think it’s fair to say I’m not Poyet’s biggest fan but he seems to have settled the ship on Wearside and they have made a reasonable start to the season currently sitting 13th with 8 points from 7 games, scoring 8 and conceding 7. For Saints Saturday gives us the chance to bounce back to winning ways after the defeat at Spurs. Hopefully all our players will comeback unscathed from their various International obligations although some (Pelle) will be feeling a lot happier than others (Clyne). Sunderland will be tough to breakdown but hopefully the pace of Mane and the trickery of Tadic will do the business.. My suggested starting 11 assuming no injuries Fraser Clyne Fonte Toby Bertrand Morgan Victor Davis Mane Pelle Tadic Subs KD Targett Gardos Cork Long Mayuka Should be a good atmosphere at St Mary's with Sunderland bringing a full contingent. Let’s get back to winning ways with 3 more points. COYR!
Having had to get used to losing again (how weird was that? ), important to win. A draw does not seem acceptable bearing in mind the relative qualities of the squad, but we must be realistic and realise things happen. No loss though, please.
They're going to be ****e whoever they are. We all know that don't we? There you are, told you. ****e the lot of 'em.
Bus parked jobbie I think. Not sure we have learned to deal with that yet so be very glad to get a win out of this.
Yeah, tough game, for sure. Maybe we are better equipped for it now. Hope our energy levels are good after this barren two week spell.
Might be a problem with Mane just realised he doesnt play for Senegal until late tomorrow evening away to Tunisia. Not a long flight but will Ron risk him. Maybe a start for Long with Mane to come on and run them ragged late on.
I've got tickets to this one! Last season I got to 4 games. This will be my 4th or 5th game this season alone!
