On the move to Pompey, the midfielder said: “I’m delighted it’s finally done and dusted. I spoke to the manager back in January, and we’ve been in touch and I’m happy to be here.

“Portsmouth seems to be everyone’s favourite neutral team – everyone seems to like to see Pompey do well, especially with the troubles they’ve had.”

    What a plum <doh>

I just read that myself... He also added that the fans helped make his mind up... What did they do, hold a gun to his head or summit... No David you are a richer person NOW, than you were before

It's obvious he was tapped up by their manager at the time!

The centre midfield today officially signed for Town’s divisional rivals on a three-year deal and claimed both the Pompey faithful and manager Steve Cotterill had convinced him to make the move.

Norris left Town on a free transfer after turning down a two-year contract to remain at Portman Road.

“I’m delighted it’s finally done and dusted,” said Norris. “I spoke to the manager back in January, and we’ve been in touch and I’m happy to be here.

“The manager was one of the main reasons I chose Portsmouth. He persevered in coming to get me, he kept me in the loop the whole time and he really sold the club to me.

“He’s got a lot of ambition and I wanted to be a part of that. Once I spoke to the manager I was more than happy to come here and play for a great club like this.”

The former Town man was equally praising of his new supporters describing the Fratton Park crowd as “brilliant”.

He said: “When I played here last season with Ipswich we drew 0-0 but I remember the way the fans got behind Pompey. They were right behind the team – and it was the same when I saw the game against Norwich on TV.”

F**king Judas we're better off without him <ok>

Well if this is the case, I'm glad he has ****ed off. At best a championship midfielder with his best days behind him, I hope he doesn't get his wages on time!

I won't miss his limp wristed interviews either. ****** always agreed with every damn question "yeah yeah blah blah, um blah blah, yeah yeah, exactly blah blah, yeah of course blah blah". A complete ***** of a captain if I ever saw one, we should've nicknamed him jellyfish 'cos he's got no spine.

I don't have any time for Pompey. I lived in Portsmouth for a few years and with the odd exception no-one in the town gave a damn about the team until they got into the Prem. And then it suddenly became 'we this' and 'we that'. That's even before you start on the way the club was run, the fact lots of local businesses have gone under as a result of their mismanagement and they fired lots of loyal backroom staff. Still, plenty of cash to tempt our 'skipper' away and sign players like Lawrence. <doh>

Rot in hell Pompey and may Satan use David Norris as his plaything.

steve cotterill is easily one of the biggest T***ers in football. I'm not surprised by that at all. Showing that even now Pompey are still going about their business in the wrong way.
