Are we going to stick with 3-5-2 then? I suspect so... --------------Harper -----Chester Dawson Davies Elmo----------------------Robertson ----Diame Huddlestone Livermore ----------Hernandez Jelavic Jakupovic Rosie Bruce Ramirez Ben Arfa Meyler Ince Expected Arsenal team... --------------Szczesny Bellerin Mertesacker Koscielny Gibbs ----------Arteta Wilshere --Chamberlain Cazorla Podolski ---------------Welbeck
Looks good OLM The only change i can see being made is --------------Harper -----Chester Dawson Davies Elmo----------------------Robertson ----Diame Huddlestone Ramirez ----------Hernandez Jelavic Jake not been on form this season as yet, maybe being dropped might give him the kick in the ass he needs to get back to the form of last season. Ramirez appears much fitter than when he arrived so give him a go see how he does for 90 minutes. UTT
From an Arsenal site - There is also positive news on the fitness of Laurent Koscielny as the newspaper suggests that despite being sent home from international duty with France due to acute tendonitis, the centre-back is also expected to recover in time to face the Tigers this weekend.
Has Hernandez been busy with Uruguay? I've a suspicion this might be Ben Arfa's first start, in AH's place.
given the travelling done by the two Uruguayans I wouldn't be surprised to see Hernandez rested. Who replaces him would depend on Bruce's mindset, do we go for caution and add a midfielder like Meyler or Quinn? Or do we replace him with an attack minded player like Aluko, Ben Arfa or Ince?
The bottom line is, I want to see Ben Arfa start, I think this might be a good game for it, and frankly against a top 4 team we're not going to start him and two strikers. So Hernandez has to go.
I'd like to see Ben Arfa start as well. Gives us the option of swift counter attacks and something different for their defence to worry about.
Chester has to stay in for starters. I agree about giving Hernandez a rest and Livermore has had a bit of a rest so would keep him in even though he's looked a bit below par apart from that one pass in the last game. I hope Ben Arfa isn't going to turn out like Gedo/Ghilas and a few others, could be one of these players with a lot of talent but lacking in other areas maybe
If Hernandez is fit I'd be inclined to start him, Arsenal may not have seen too much of him which could be to our advantage. Ben Arfa needs game time before we can see how he's going to be.
Didn't Wenger try and sign him a couple of years back? If so, he probably knows a fair bit about him. I suspect we'll be unchanged.
What if we do that and lose heavily? Will you still have a hissy fit and call Bruce an thick **** who we need to get rid of?
How can we see how he's going to be if we don't play him? And Abel is a Uruguayan international who's spent most of his career playing in Serie A. Arsenal were after him at one point, pretty sure they know about him.
Except a game of football. Brucey will set up to try and get something out of the game, there's no reason why we shouldn't.
Most likely this, however SB might try Ben Arfa instead of Hernandez, if he feels Hernandez has done too much travelling.
Just saying... Would rather go there and try to win the game/get at them instead of parking the bus. We actually have a team capable of going to places like the Emirates and giving them a proper game now!
