Time for Woy to go otherwise England have no chance, he should have been sacked after the world cup

If Woy said **** all about the lad being supposedly tired then he'd have got harangued for leaving him out, so he tells the truth and gets pelters anyway, lol.

If Liverpool had been playing Real Madrid yesterday does anyone think that poor little Raheem would have been 'too tired' to turn out?

It's patently obvious what's happened here and Woy was making sure that people knew that it wasn't his call.

  5. Couldn't give a ****, happy he didn't start but would have preferred Raheem not to have been involved at all. Least it was Hendo that came off for him :)

Let me get this straight, an international manager can not spend millions on players he wants, he is stuck with a very limited pool of players he can pick from.
With this in mind we have to accept that he only needs these players for 1 or 2 games every couple of months or so. When is he supposed to rest them? why is it his fault if a player turns up so out of condition that he pulls a muscle in training, how is anyone to blame if a player gets injured while playing in a game?

Do you not think Brendan should have noticed this and rested him then?

Difference is Liverpool needed him for those games. England should not need him to beat San Marino & Estonia.

What you 'needed' him to play against Boro at home for 120 minutes in the Mickey Mouse?

    lol

  11. Interested to know your thoughts on Fergie then, especially around Ryan Giggs :)

Ok using your logic. Why does he have to train them? Tactical training yes but During a time where they're playing every week, sometimes twice a week for club, why in a day normally a cool off day for the player between two matches within five days does he insist on full 11 v 11 matches that resulted in Sturridge getting injured? What extra level of fitness will he achieve with the players that the club hasn't already? A club that did invest those multi millions and then hired guys to get that player to his optimum...but the guy that as you say sees the player for a week every four months knows him better????really? Fergie didn't seem to agree did he? Or Mourinho....

If he meant what he said about protecting Sterling just 24 hours before, why did he make the statement he did knowing full well the reaction it would get, and if he didn't know, how did he get the England job if he's that naive?

And since he got a freebie to watch every Liverpool match this season which he has, how has he not noticed the drastic drop in form with this player that clearly indicated physical or mental fatigue but thinks that protecting him is ignoring the club strategy and training him some more against the young players bosses wishes...

This is purely about a stubborn old man who resents being told sports science has moved beyond him and worse being told it by his replacement at the club that dumped him. He's being a spiteful little man and he's using these young players to do it.

What he did is wrong on so many levels and as usual he can hide behind the tribal rhetoric that quickly takes over in the shouting match with "England",fans.

But sure if he's not a big strapping always fit, play on one leg, bandage round the bloodied head, Englishman he should just **** off back to Jamaica eh?.....

Yes....we pay him those huge wages being thrown in his face today as evidence he's a spoilt brat...It's our manager and his staff that get sacked if their best players don't play and we dont win even the Mickey mouse cup even if they were injured by a ******ed owl. That owl that will just move on to the next player he also didn't pay millions for and not blink doing it.

So yeah, we get to decide what match he's needed for.....

Giggs had well known hamstring issues but Fergie never stopped him from playing in a competetive game whilst Wales were still in with a chance of qualification.

So, your manager is right to play a 19 year old who is clearly out of form and (in the managers opinion) in need of a rest. If he had torn a hamstring because of this and missed 6-8 weeks would you still feel the same?

Would be self inflicted so couldn't complain. But Roy doesn't need him for another 6-8 weeks so wouldn't make a difference to him if he had injured him (a lot like Sturridge). He didn't need him against San Marino and Estonia. Heck, he doesn't need half the squad against them.

  19. Key word there. Some of those "non-competitive" matches Ryan missed where much more competitive than the one Raheem missed (and hour of) against Estonia.

As for the latter bit, so he did miss competitive games for Wales then  I could also throw a few other names in the hat if you wish, a Man Utd fan arguing about this very ironic <laugh>

Giggs played 1 away friendly in his whole career I think? And only a handful of "home" friendlies.
