Yeah, a load of these were in the most recent edition of the NME. Incredibly fascinating stuff.

    Joy Division are brilliant.

Makes a mockery of the vast majority of modern artists songwriting. Clearly he bled, cried and felt every line he wrote. It painfully exposed him but made for a brilliant catalogue of lyrics and songs.

I've never felt music more than the day John Peel died and they played 'Atmosphere' on R1.

'Disorder' is one of my favourite songs.

Fascinating stuff. 23 when he died. Great band.

Peter Hook is on the road now doing all the JD songs, he was at Fruit earlier this year, a wonderful night.

Control is also a fine biopic. I saw Sam Riley's (played Ian in Control) band 10,000 Things support The Paddingtons once and they were electric, much better than the band they were supporting,. It was a shame they didnt transcend that to record and split up with nobody batting an eyelid.

I love Joy Division but won't be reading this book.

There's something not quite right about reading someone's personal notes after they've died, something's are best left alone. He was especially private about his song lyrics in the media anyway, personally I'd rather keep it that way.
