I can recall his pre and post match interviews and how I cringed when he opened his mouth....

Now, not happy with Injuring Sturridge for a month and serving up boring football against nobodies, he now leaves Sterling hung out to dry by telling the entire world that he told the old fecker that he was tired. Why? Why would you do that?

I found it quite funny when he clearly got done over about Rooney about to be taken off, then back tracked and said it may have been a mistake

The guys a complete fool, last night showed that on 3 fronts.

The handling of Sterling (as you pointed out)
    The Rooney incident
The way we can't break down a team that would probably be in division 2 (or even 3) in our leagues.

Complete numpty of the highest order.

<laugh> The Rooney thing was hilarious and showed what an old fool he was. I also chuckled pre match when he said let's go through this group unbeaten. UNBEATEN?? Surely he meant winning every game?? Negative twat. He would have been happy with a draw yesterday. As soon as we play a decent team (The Swiss are really off the boil atm so don't count), we'll be found out.

Roy has always been defeatist, think about it, from a club level point of view his main jobs have been to keep clubs from relegation, so he has always started off negative ie do our best type thing.

baffled me he got picked for country with such a negative attitude, but to be honest all i care about is he isnt our fecking problem at club level any more.

not a lot we can do about him fecking our English players up though sadly.

its not all roys fault to be honest, i think a lot of it is unnecessary pressure from our ****ish media ie making out a fecking 19 yr old in sterling is vital to england, how many ****e players in the England team if a 19 yr old is being looked at that way, where is the supposed experienced players in the team!

And I've just read another quote from the idiot!! Now he's complaining that it shouldn't be all down to him to rest Sterling. WHAT? He obviously forgot that we rested him a couple of weeks ago and BR got lambasted for it? Not only are you a fool Roy, but your memory is a bit fooked too!

Looks like we're going to be at war with England throughout this campaign.

From a footy point of view there 2 ways to look at it. Sterling has either been pushed by Liverpool to do this or he was genuinely tired. If the club are pushing him to force a rest then he's our player and we have a right to manage such a young player, an older player would be able to manage himself,
. If Sterling did it off his own back then well done for being sensible.
Either way Roy should not be announcing it to the media and has just put pressure on a young player.

  8. Thing is, he was taking Rooney off to alter things because we were lacking. He changed is mind after Rooney scored...from a set piece that should have been saved!

A goal from a set piece doesn't alter the way a team is playing so if he thought making that change was best then he should have seen it through. Only reason I can think of for changing his mind is confidence.

Yeah but the whole point is he denied it! But got found out as the paperwork had gone in...
You could even see Lambert having a chuckle as he sat back down in his seat!

He should have just said yeah I was going to take him off, then he scored so I decided to keep him on - or at least something along those lines.

I guess you could argue the media should have minded their own ****ing business and it wouldn't have been an issue

Hodgson, like all the England managers of the past 20 years (except Capello, who I rate), is inept and ****ing stupid.

Lets be honest now, at this point, no successful manager is going to take the England job ever again, as it is a poison chalice.
If you dont win every game 3-0 or above, then the public turn on you like a bunch of revolting....revolters.
Plus England players all seem to become 40% ****ter as soon as they pull on the Three Lions jersey, through a combination of ill training, lack of a cohesive team ethic, and now a lack of authority on the pitch, except for Wayne "Foghorn" Rooney, who, trust me, is no ****ing leader at all......

I would be glad for the England team to pack up shop and **** off so we can get back to some real football.

Can't imagine Bobby Moore or Nobby Styles going to Sir Alf Ramsay, and saying they were too tired to play.

What a disgrace "False Teeth" Rodgers & Sterling are, but almost to be expected really...

The man is just an embarrassment.

How old is this **** and how long has he been in the game?

Even I would know to say the same old cliche bollox when it comes to something like this to protect a teenager "Sterling's a young lad and we don't want to put too much strain or pressure on his shoulders so early in his career"

    DONE.

<laugh> Hodgson is no Ramsey though is he? He also has a track record of going against medical advice and injuring players. If Sterling had to take these steps to protect himself from and antiquated old fool then he's far wiser than most footballers of all ages. However, you seem like a bit of a twat so I don't expect you to remotely understand <ok>

Bobby Moore and Phallic Styles weren't thrust into the England team and touted as the countries saviour at 19, they also didnt play 50 games a season for their clubs and also played in a time when playing for England was more than just a gigantic pain in the ass for players and fans alike.

Back in the day, players hardly ever played in the senior squad until they were ineligible for the Under 21's. Ie Until they were 22 <ok>

I agree in a way every player should be proud to play for their country and be prepared to push through any fatigue, if he was tired then he was probably right to bring it up to avoid injury as he's 19 and needs to manage his game the public airing of it is what is wrong. Your point is probably another argument.
