When Keegan sold cole and stood on the steps at sjp all those years asgo he said TRUST
me its for the good of the club.

The following summer by June we had signed Sir Les and keegans plan had worked, he knew what we needed to move forward and how.
this is not a keegan thread just a reminder how times have changed, to me its obvious
the board have not got a clue nor has ashley's yes man pardew.

Surely we planned ahead for who was needed to bring in and replace judas AC but instead we are linked with everyman and his dog, the calibre and difference types of playing we are going for is so random.
I can see the reason why we are waiting its to sign freebies after the 1st of july onwards.

I agree Baa will become a good squad player but i don't think he is this top replacement we have been promised.

Still gutted about Nolan going but more worried about the lack of thought process we seem to be having, i am worried that we could start the season with a team full of potentials but no gel just full of individuals.

One minute we are after a flair midfielder then a defensive one etc etc.
    action speaks lounder than words.

And we could still sell Jose, joey and maybe even Best who i never rated [best] has become a good un.

maybe we should have gone for wenger as he seems happy to sell all his star players and not replace them lol.

    What do peps think???

Gervinho and Gameiro, but those 2 didn't work out

    Disagree

Plenty of others that can do it. None maybe as individualy (cant spell) as him but losing one player doesn't ruin team spirit

    Could

    Like who?

    That I disagree

FYI, the transfer window closes at the start of September- not this evening. Just because we haven't signed a top striker for top dollar doesn't mean we're not going too at all, some clubs haven't even started doing business yet! Besides we've done some fantastic business so far, 3 top players for £4.5 million effectively (yes i know agent fees aren't included but still!)

And yes although times may have changed, I believe the club is heading in right direction financially.

im sick of these pardew haters. to be fair its clear from his reactions that he actually cares about the club because he will want to keep his paycheck coming in!?

what has he actually done wrong? back it up. yes he's SAID one or two things I.E the club want to keep carroll and he is then sold. but i think thats the boards deception on pardew, rather than pardews deception on fans.

plus the way he plays football is a good way of playing. its not the boring ****e we had under allardyce, and its not the conservative way that was employed under hughton.

im sick of people hating pardew simply because he replaced hughton.

someone needs to take this negativity away from the board! so far today we have had about 364 new articles (ok thats exaggerated) about how people are dissapointed that we havent signed EVERYONE yet. and to top it all off, they are bringing up the anti-ashley movements again. its ****ing pathetic. i hate MA myself but christ let the club settle with the 5 year plan we have in place!

its 5 year plan, not 3 week plan! dickheads

They haven't even sold any of them and infact seem to be doing everything they can to keep hold of them (apart from Clichy but from what i've heard he was poor last season)

anyway thats one point out of 5 that i made (and it was the one that wasn't about Newcastle)

Still have a few months of the transfer window and have already signed up 3 first team players.

Yes we've been linked to everyone but it doesn't mean the club are actively pursuing them. If we had been we'd have a squad numbering in the 100's.

A bit of patience is needed.

Pardew is building HIS squad now.

Lets wait and see how that goes before we burn him alive and dance to his screams..

Yet another doom and gloom thread. Why didn't you just add it to one of the others you all say the same bloody things?

You have the attention span of a four year old ffs. We signed three very good players only a week or so ago and the window opens tomorrow! What more do you want ... a star signing every ****ing day!

Didn't we also get Shearer a year later for 15 million, so basically got two better strikers.

I think a great deal of frustration comes from seeing players leaving from January onwards...

OUT:Routledge, Carroll, Campbell, Nolan and Kuqi.

IN: Ba, Cabaye, Marveaux. (So far)

Yeah but he's transfer listed. Pardew doesnt rate him at all though, think his replacement within the squad will be a promising youth player. Same for Campbell being replaced by Kadar.

The point is that we currently have less bodies in our squad than last season and we've lost our top two scorers. Pardew has stated that Routledge "isn't good enough to play for Newcastle United" so I think it's fair to say he's going to figure very little in the managers plans...<ok>

Your saying the board has no idea and we haven't replaced Carrol yet.

    Am I missing something?

There's 2 months of the window left and we've done more business than most teams in the league for ****s sake, save this article for October.
