No injuries reported yet with some players still away on international duty. So we have a full fit squad apart from Matt Upson. So here is what i would go with Schmeichel Simpson Moore Morgan Konchesky Mahrez Drinkwater Cambiasso Schlupp Vardy Ulloa Subs- Hamer, De Laet, Wasilewski, King, James, Knockaert, Nugent
Hmm you're probably right but away from home in particular in would like to see Simpson. Feel De Laet has been average this season defensively at least, we do need to tighten up at the back and stop leaking goals
My thoughts exactly. Plus Simpson going back to his old club with a point to prove I think Simpson is a better defender then De Laet but not as good going forward
Id probably agree but im guessing it will be: KS DL Moore Morgan Konch Mahrez Hammond, Cambiasso, Drinkwater Vardy Ulloa
I'd drop Vardy and have James as the extra man in midfield. That or go with a diamond, but that involves dropping Mahrez who had a belter against Burnley. Decisions, decisions... Schmeichel Simpson Morgan Moore Konchesky James Drinkwater Cambiasso Nugent Vardy Ulloa
That would be a Krul blow for them ... please log in to view this image I don't like the fact that i fancy us to get something, cause thats the kind of opinion i had going into Palace and Burnley.
Or maybe not, it seems Pardew just declared him fit, it can't have been a very badly damaged ligament...
I'ts kiddology - they are trying to get us to shoot at his elbows ... whereas he can pick the ball out of his net with stright arms if he's feeling a bit tender - poor lamb
According to my FPL squad he´s fit again. I´d go for PF´s team, it looks like a winner & we need to win this one.
Huge pressure on Newcastle in this one - hopefully will play into our hands - swift countering ... get your money on the away win
Newcastle are bound to win at some point. We helped Burnley break their goalscoring duck last time around, so I wouldn't bet against us helping Newcastle fans in this one. I think it's likely that at least one of Mahrez and Schlupp is going to miss out, due to their international duties this week, so I wouldn't be surprised to see the diamond back, possibly with James replacing Hammond. Hard to say who's going to play in the hole though; I'd imagine Nugent, but would like to see either Mahrez or Knockaert behind Ulloa and Vardy. Vardy in particular could give that terrible Newcastle defence hell with his running, just like he did against Man Utd!
After the disappointment of the Burnley result we could do with a result from this game. We need to regain some momentum. I am worried we'll be the ones to help Newcastle get their first win. Mahrez and Schlupp are being assessed. Hopefully we can hit them with our pace and net some points. Our results at SJP haven't been favourable in recent times but they are poor at the moment. Had a brief foray onto their board, they're a pretty depressed bunch. They're even having a debate with DQPR as to who is the worst team & has the worst manager.
Schmeichel De Laet Morgan Moore Konchesky Albrighton Drinkwater James Cambiasso Schlupp Ulloa When the game eventually kicks off, that will be our starting line up. Pleased to see Albrighton get a start, was beginning to wonder when he'd be part of the mix, although you'd have thought Knockaert would have been Mahrez's replacement- shame he's not available because of international duty. Personally, I'd have kept Vardy in, but otherwise that's a decent starting 11, especially with that midfield trio we've all been waiting to see!
I´m glad I´m not a Sunderland fan sitting in the Southampton stadium right now. 7-0 with x amount of hundreds a miles to travel back up tut North on a dark night.
