Went as a Kid but never took the kids to Butlins as an adult so never experienced being an adult at Butlins. To be fair this place in Turkey has 8 swimming pools (water flumes etc etc), loads of bars, from chill out bars to disco bars, and looks like it has a load of things to do. They even have their own mini town inside the complex and a weekly market that visits, and is right next to a water sports beach. They do have an Irish bar there, and a bar called the Ship Sports bar - So I'm guessing a very English styled pub. Plus it's still just under 30 degree's so nice and hot. Should be a laugh, at the end of the day it's what you make it that matters - and I'll be sure to make it as fun as possible Shame we won't be seeing much of Turkey though, saying that last time I went it was just me and the Mrs and I couldn't stand the place - the locals were ****ing pests!!
To be fair though Saint. WilTshire isn't the sharpest tool in the box A few chips short of a happy meal would be a good description.
I went to Turkey earlier this year and loved it. The locals do pester you to buy stuff, but I had a few comical exchanges with some of them-most don't take it too seriously when you reject them. Having said that, I still wish they weren't so aggressive about it. They seem to think that anyone from a rich country must be a rich individual (a lesson in free trade economics needed there), and don't realise that many people visiting have used up most of their budget just to get there. Stunning landscape though (south west corner of the country, Taurus mountains), and impressive Graeco-Roman ruins- none of which will be of much interest to kids, unfortunately. Keep away from the Syrian border.
I'm not that far along the coast to be honest It should be OK, no one has said don't travel or anything, but I'm taking my AK47 just in case.
if you don't go now there'll soon be no arabs left to shoot. it's like the tiger... if you don't bag em now the maericans will kill the rest.
I can only get here by following a link to a specific thread. The I have to look at my profile and look at my most recent comments- if I can click on them then it takes me to a thread I've been on... only way to do it from home PC. Phone works- but home PC is difficult to navigate this place now because of the virus/malware malarky.
ashamed to say i had to google that **** lol. doesn't ring a bell sadly, it does have a viz look about it. might have a look for that, if it can still be got hold of in shops. cheers.
