The opening juvenile hurdle at Chepstow sees yet another Alan King juvenile owned by the McNeill family, Karezak, make his debut over obstacles. Formerly with John Oxx and bred by the Aga Khan (by Azamour out of Karewana), he was rated 85 on the flat after a couple of promising runs for Alan King. The trainer stated on his website: "He came from John Oxx and has run twice for us on the Flat, finishing second both times. He was bought for jumping and has done plenty of schooling, so it will be good to get him rolling over hurdles." One that should be well forward for his debut
Newmarket 2.05 Restorer 40/1 NAP 2.40 Mutatis Mutandis 25/1 3.10 Top Tug 10/1 3.50 Moidore 16/1 5.40 Shama 11/2
3.50 Newmarket Groovejet- 25/1 ew Really fancy this guy for tomorrow is only 3yo and is horse on the up! Was second in a group 2 and due to go up 5lbs the favourite will be hat to beat but value is the key in this race with a the last few winners being bigger than 16/1. He is easily a group horse and won't mind too soft ground 25/1 ew is cracking value
Was coming on tonight to tip HIGHLAND LODGE at Chepstow but the yard have steamed in early and only 3's when I was hoping for 6's. I do think he will win though. Also like the look of ALBASHARAH at Newmarket (6-1) who is a very lightly raced 5yo.
Evening All Off to the footy tomorrow, so will post my fancies now: 1.50 York Indy - Open race looking at the betting but impressed by both runs so far and can go well fresh so is a tentative selection. 3.10 Newm Cinnilla - On a hat-trick and has gone up 12lb but has the impressive claimer Cam Hardie on board and the recent form is decent, so at 25/1 & 5 places with B365 then seems a good bet to me. 3.50 Newm Aah the easiest race of the day.............where is my pin!! The one I like is Sohar, has run some good races and will stay the marathon trip and goes well on soft, so I have taken the 33/1 & 6 places with Paddy Power, not saying it will win but really think it is place material. Cheers Trevez
Argent Knight and Groovejet ew in the Cesarewitch. Highland Colori in the Coral Sprint and York. Boondooma and Gas Line Boy at Chepstow Good luck all

I've looked through the cards and apart from thinking the turnout for the 5.05 at Newmarket is a bloody disgrace, I can't see anything I want to bet on. So, with that said, good luck with your choices chaps. I'll be on again tomorrow where I have one I am sure will win.
Stick, Highland Lodge was tipped up massively in this week’s ‘Weekender’. They were going on about him as if he’s the best handicapped horse in training! Readers of that esteemed publication may be steaming in. I think those bookie chappies have got the races today about right but WATERCLOCK in the ‘Ces’ does standout somewhat at 50/1 at would advise a small each-way or ‘Tote Place’. He was 2nd in the event last term and this is somewhat of a specialist contest and many will be crying enough come the 2 mile stage. Waterclock ran a corker from a low draw in ’13 and has a pretty similar berth again this time around. Another thing that appeals in that he’s actually 6 lbs lower today than last year. Admittedly, he’s done little since the ‘Ces’ last year but I’m hoping that the uniqueness of the event brings the spark back and if it does he would in no way be a 50/1 shot. A risky investment but one worthy taking, methinks. Good luck all.
We had the driest September on record and then the rain returned just in time to ensure that York’s Rockingham Stakes card is a complete write-off. The form will be mostly from good or better ground last month so it is a no bet. With the heavy rain having mostly avoided Newmarket, there do look to be some excellent races and some good punting opportunities. The opener went to a subsequent Racing Post Trophy and St Leger winner and this year looks very competitive with at least half a dozen that cannot be easily discounted. I do not think that Hamdan Al Maktoum has that many with Sir Michael Stoute, so I will oppose the front three in the market with Mukhayyam as nobody has more than four races on the clock and any could improve sufficiently to win at a decent price. The money piled on Provenance last time like defeat was out of the question but she was turned over (along with my selection Belle D’Or) and now steps up to ten furlongs in the second. She will clearly need to find some more improvement as she takes on the older Albasharah and Audacia, but I expect that rainermariarilke and I will be backing the same horse today. The 15:10 is the short of trappy large field end-of-season handicap that I normally look to avoid. Should I stick with Battersea after the favour he did me last time? He has gone up 10lb in the handicap and the opposition look hotter, in the form of Connecticut, Famous Kid and Rewaaya; the latter could be a Group horse in a handicap. With the forecast for “slow moving heavy showers” (i.e. rain), I will be waiting before betting as Provenance does not want rain and Battersea has been winning on quick ground so rain might force a switch to Rewaaya.
Criterion still 40/1 for Cox Plate with Paddy Power, ran a blinder in the Caulfield Stakes last night, beaten a head by Fawkner who is 7/2 fav now and he was up in another stride. Fawkner still 7/1 with Paddy as well, they must not have seen the race or are still sleeping!

Surely the bookies are taking the Michael with 13/2 the field in that 36 runner stick a pin in it race?! At least with the 40 runner GN they've the decency to at least go 10/1 the field on the day! Pipes in the first at Chepstow is being smashed.
