UEFA should penalise clubs in debt that borrow to pay players £300k
united should only be allowed to spend money earrned. Not money in effect leveraged against the club's value.

United should be banned from all transfers until they pay back their monstrous debt

There's nothing wrong with debt as a vehicle to fuel investment. It's a perfectly normal way to run a business and stopping or severely restricting it would be detrimental to the game. We would not have such great stadiums and the rest of the infrastructure if we stopped clubs from borrowing.

The issue is irresponsible borrowing and dangerous levels of debt. So some restaint might be considered appropriate, but that's not easy to do because how do you set the levels fairly.
And requiring the debt to be serviceable based on guaranteed incomes is an unrealistic idea, both in principle and in practice. The reality is very little in life is guaranteed. When you take out a 4 year loan to buy a car, it's not guaranteed you'll be in work in 2 years time.
Somehow they need to find a way to stop a leeds or a Portsmouth occuring again rather than stifle growth in clubs that have perfectly manageable debt, like Utd or Liverpool

So ban us for what? Perhaps you need educating on uniteds finances.

I can name a number of clubs who would be banned under your proposals. Chelsea are top of that list as you have earned just a quid in about 30 years.

Chelseas debts are tge biggest in world football. Over 700million.

Luckily for them they owe their owner and for now hes not interested in calling in a 1/4 of his wealth. The debts double what chelsea are worth so he cant sell the club.

When hes inevitably murdered by tge kgb his kids will take over. They are all united fans and have already said they will get rid of chelsea.

Asset stripping, fire sales, bye. Winters coming chelsea.

United made a profit despite the fact that there is a sizeable loan to pay back.

Chelsea have had a huge loan written off by their owner but still made a £50million loss in 2013.

I can understand why London's Only Thread Starter is worried about FFP. If PSG don't pay £50million for Gary Cahill next summer then Chelsea are effectively ****ed.

your living in dreamland. 25 years ago maybe, but Liverpool are no longer considered to be a big European club. Carry about the same esteem as Spurs ot Villa. In other words, a team from the past who are now just your average English club

7 years is a long time in modern football.

It is good Liverpool are back, Chelsea have been carrying Prem clubs in Europe for years.

We are England's lone European superpower these days
