We are up against it I feel with all the injury drop outs. This is the team I'd go for against Bosnia (hope we get a draw at least); ----------------------- Hennessey ---------------------------- ---------------- Chester -------- Williams -------------------- Taylor ---------------------------------------------- B. Davies ------------------- King -------- Ledley (FFS!) --------------- ------------------------ J. Williams --------------------------- Robson-Kanu --------------------------- G. Williams / G. Edwards -------------------------- Bale ------------------------------- Subs; Fon Williams, Gunter, Ricketts, Edwards, Cotterill, G. Williams/ G. Edwards / T. Lawrence and Simon Church. Very thin on the ground and I can't for the life of me figure out how Jazz is not in that squad, un-****ing-believable omission. If Jazz was there he could have either taken Ledley's spot and created more depth on the bench or he could have slotted in at right-back (so Taylor could have played left-back and Ben Davies on the left wing). We need a draw against the Bosnians and a win against the Cypriots. C'mon Wales!
I'm not fiull of confidence Terror, but that's mainly becaue I really don't think Coleman's the man for the job. Injuries aren't his fault of course but I'm not sure he can motivate this team against a side that looked dangerous at times in the World Cup. Djeko is world class and they have more than a few quality players. Looks like it'll be Bale or nothing again. Win this one and we're well on track though.
This is a terible thing to say but i coudn't give a toss how they get on. When we re vamp the whole of the FAW, select a manager who has at least some idea how to put a side together, Instead of who is the cheapest. Then maybe fans will start to consider supporting the national side again. I think most at the start of the campaign thought Wales might have had a chance of qualifying, but after the debacle in Andora it is just the same old. I just don't care who wins this game.
not interested in wales for the same reasons as trundle plus we always allow important players to cry off turning out with a mystery illness or injury only to see them fit as a fiddle for their clubs.....Until wales is run as in a professional way then im not interested......Coleman is a good manager so im not blaming him....
That's about the best we can field that you have there Terror, though I think that your subs need updating as Cotterill I'm pretty sure has ruled himself out!......... Bloody disgraceful that Coleman has overlooked Jazz given our injury issues, but Coleman and the FAW (Fanny Association of Wales) are a marriage made in heaven................
I disagree that Coleman is a "good manager". Apart from one season with Fulham he's been pretty dire imo. I do feas that yet again another "golden generation" is going to be squandered by bad management from the FAW down to the coach. I used to watch Wales a lot back in the day. Remember the other "golden generation" - Saunders, Rush Hughes et al? Apart from a memorable win v Germany at the Arms Park (great goal by Rushie) we never achieved much, the closest was losing out to Romania in qualifiying by a poorly taken penalty (Bodin?) I seem to remember. All this has to be put squarely at the door of the FAW for consistently making poor appointments and for an amateurish way of operating. I'm convinced many pampered players who are used to the best facilities at their clubs see playing for Wales as a distraction than actually feeling proud to wear the shirt and busting a gut to win a game. If the Wales setup was more professional that would change. Looking at the group we have a great chance this time and I really hope we do it. But I fear it'll be Belgium and Bosnia 1 and 2. Hope I'm wrong.
Bloody shame we have Ramsey, Allen, and Vaughan out injured from the midfield, I haven't watched King from Leicester, but he's only started in two games this season for Leicester, and was subbed at half time in the their game against Stoke, so he's not exactly a regular in the Leicester midfield, bit worrying if he is paired with Ledley too, who I have always thought was an under achiever compared to Ramsey and Allen, though I have been watching Ledley at Palace, and he is improving and has started in both wins for Palace against Leicester and Everton, so I'm hoping he will pull his finger out and show the whole of Wales that he can be intelligent and stamp his ability on the midfield, as we really need him to shine for once, will he take the opportunity though? I hope so for all our sakes!.................
The muppets on sky sports are hyping us up so much it's like they're just expecting us to steamroll Bosnia here
