OT Stunning picture

    Got sent a link to a picture with no info, and thought it was really well photoshopped to make the climbers stand out.
    So did some backtracking on the photo and found out it's the volcanic eruption in Japan.
    And sadly people died in the shrine and these are rescuers coming up.
    That stunning photo is for real, strange how the ash has washed out the world.

    Makes me think of Pompeii and the people coming out and walking on the ash thinking it was over, then being entombed by a huge fast moving pyroclastic flow. Of course the shrine being high up it would be more ash suffocating them up there.
    Shows how lucky we are in Britain to avoid these sorts of natural disasters.
