A couple of the national papers still talked about McKinlay not being happy about how the club would move forward and resigned but clearly this was a sacking.

Hi all. Haven't been around for a year or two but good to see hoards of regulars still around.

As a life long hornet I think recent activity is very sad and worrying. This is not the Watford I have known and loved for more years than I care to remember. So much so I even have lost the apetite to go to games.

Whoever is running the club needs to get their act together and start stabilising the ship. Watford had a human side once. It needs to get it back quick. And that is more important than the Prem in my mind.

But hopefully there will be better times ahead. Cheers

hi kchorn the club is in very good hands on the owners are not always doing things to bleed the fans dry . They should have sacked gfz and beppe but they let them resign . without them we would have been bleed dry to pocket someones pocket . they are trying to do what is the best for the club. they will never get it right all the time but i will all ways back the owners

On reflection I'd say they got this right and their big mistake was giving billy the job permanently without thinking things through. In fact, though 4 managers in a few weeks looks bad on paper, the only one they got rid of was billy McKinlay. My thinking is that though he seemed like a good appointment, British, well liked and immediately respected by the players, obvious useful experience etc, he made a complete hash of the Brighton game. Tactics were poor, team choices questionable, and his apparent contentedness at the performance and result against what he called a good side gave the Pozzos a wobble. By all accounts Brighton were the worst team at the Vic this season and so that contributed to billy being booted. I don't like the way it was handled but I respect them for holding their hands up when they realised their mistake and for acting quickly before the rot set in. Onwards and upwards.. Viva Joka!

    When a manager goes it's a choker
So you ring up a Udine broker
    If Oscar can't hack it
And Bill wants to jack it
You call in a fellow called Joka

    Beppe went with some intrigue.
Then Oscar dropped out with fatigue,
    Now McKinley has gone,
But when all's said and done,
Watford are still joint top of the league!

    Since I was a boy,
    I find lots of joy
    In putting together a rhyme.
    I'm sure you'll agree,
    If it could only be
Much better if I had more time!

Great to see you back kc. I should not worry f I were you - the Pozzos have been superb for us - not least in attracting some excellent players without endangering the club financially and also for finally completing the ground. We should really view this as Sannino being replaced for good reasons by Jokanovic. The fact that we had two managers in between will be forgotten so long as Jokanovic does not go too. We were unlucky that Garcia got ill and the Pozzos were too rash in appointing McKinlay permanently when they should have made it "caretaker" - a mistake but give credit that when they felt they had made a mistake they corrected it and did not let things "go bad"

    Spot on as always H

    On Sky doing NI game.

They asked him about this week but didn't say much due to 'legal reasons'.

    Didn't look too chuffed though!
