Apparently Bernie Ecclestone has said there will be no consequences if Marussia decide not to race at all or just field one car. They are contractually obliged to enter 2 cars but they can do as they see fit without fear of penalty. And i'm glad they (Ecclestone especially) have seen sense and aren't forcing them to do anything. Apparently the likelihood is they will race with one car, but even that's only if Chilton feels ready to.
The circuit looked so much better in the pictures.. However, seeing them run around the track now, all I can think of is this circuit is the bastard love child of Valencia and Yas Marina circuit, but all the bad bits... Flat, and apart from a couple of "not straight" straights and another copy of Turkey turn 8, its pretty pants!
Hamilton for galactic overlord and Christmas number 1. But yeah, Rosberg for the race-win Mercs could be sandbagging again in FP, but to be honest the look of the track and the fact it's a new surface infer to me that it could be closer between the cars this weekend. Those long "straights" gives the likes of Mclaren and Williams a great chance at being close, and for them to do damage in the race. It would be great if they could hold it together in qualifying and be right up there, because they might actually stand a chance with the DRS in play.
Pretty good lap there from Hamilton.. McLarens were close, but from the length of their run compared to the Mercs, they must have run a bit lighter on fuel, still, good sign from them, hope this performance doesn't disappear over the weekend.
