Despite losing week in week out in Brazil’s second division crisis club Portuguesa were actually still positive they could avoid relegation.

However, after things seemingly couldn’t get any worse, just one week since joining it has got worse.

With 10 games of the season left, Portuguesa were sitting second bottom in the league – they decided to hire well-known hypnotist Olimar Tesser loose on the team. However, things didn’t start so well and they lost their very next game.

His bizarre methods of getting the players to walk on hot coals, broken glass, and partaking in deep thinking sessions haven’t worked as well as they would have hoped – and now Portuguesa actually sit rock bottom. We can’t say they didn’t try.

However the club still insist that they will continue to work with Tesser, who posted the below video on YouTube of him in action – bizarre to say the least

We'd probably miss the hint about ineffective, wacky, hocus-pocus and hire Paul McKenna on £2million per year.

Forget Tesser ... we'd end up with Tosser:
