At centre back! Last season he was Saints' second choice right back (Ist choice was in the squad....why no Clyne tonight?)

I would probably have picked Lallana for MOTM last night.

One moved to a top 4 team the other didnt <ok>

It's wrong but true, and understudy at top 4 will normally get ahead of someone playing regulatory for a team in mid table (I know saints are 2nd atm so don't bite my head off).

It's like Milner playing DM despite not being a DM and not playing that regulaltu for city

Because England managers are lazy and cowardly. They might pad out the squad with players from the "smaller" clubs but they invariably select players from the "bigger" clubs to start matches. Cleverley used to play for England. I doubt he ever will again.

V San Marino England just needed Cahill for attacking set piece and he should've put Milner at rb with instruction to attack all the time, then out anyone from midfield at cb with instruction to start plays and he should've got a 4-2-4 set up to pull that muck around

5-0 = so what should been that at half time

    Woys latest rambling

But Hodgson expects a far sterner test in Tallinn on Sunday, even though they are only ranked 92nd in the world, as a number of their players participate in top leagues across Europe.

    Surprise

They came close to qualifying for Euro 2012 but lost to the Republic of Ireland in the playoffs and Hodgson is not going to treat them lightly.

"I would be a bit wary of putting Estonia in the same category as San Marino," the England manager said.

"They might surprise people who haven't seen a lot of them.

"They're very Scandinavian in their approach, and you know how good the Swedes, Norwegians and Danes have been in terms of work ethic and organisation.

"It will be a bit of a test, but I'm very confident we'll see it through."

Just amazing I looked this up Ireland beat Estonia 4-0 in this play off then proceeded to get hammered home in euros

Estonia no 92 in world, thier group was Serbia and Slovenia, Northern Ireland and faroes... Italy topped it? Impressive???? When you realise the Serbia had a match abandoned due to crowd v Italy and a walkover awarded and 12k turned up at Serbia when Estonia won there

If England can't talk like they should be winning this it's all a cod. This should be a great trip for fans as a beer holiday and an easy win.... Period

Woy's tactical negativity is echoed in his interviews.
It was why he was just wrong for LFC, no ambition and no determination to win.

Took me a moment to work that one out.

The thing is, with that attitude he's more likely to screw up. We know most footballers are big girls (sorry, ladies) and need confidence to perform. Hodgson's tentative approach and alarmist attitude leaches confidence out of them, imo.

Roy has apparently had a word with Sterling regarding a new role for him in the England team. Knowing Roy it will probably be a case of "Move over Joe Hart!!!!!"

Oh dear... a good season for Liverpool and a few good games for England and suddenly Sterling is the main player and all our hope is resting on him. Anyone see a Rooney mk2 going on here... build up a young player to be our saviour then when he doesn't quite perform for England and lead us to glory we bash them <doh>

Roy at it again....man just can't help himself...results in outpouring of outrage that Sterling allegedly told Hodgeson during training "he was tired".

Now how likely is it that the player walked up to Roy and just blurted that out...more likely he was asked how he felt and that was his response...

After the "we need to take care of him" quotes this all sounds like Roy trying to show he knows how to look after players after the Sturridge incident but as usual does it so badly he's managed to make the player look like a spoilt brat....

    Complete numpty.

    Rubbish

England have been in total control just lacked a final ball and Chambers has done fine at RB
