We took a lot of potentially exciting players, then didn't really play them. That was the issue. Tight game this, anyhow By the way, just for information, you don't *have* to hang your balls off the sofa just because it's England. Everybody has a right to choose who, what, when they support without being castigated for not following their country.
I was looking forward to his until Chambers started. Now I am too pissed off for Clyne to care. I hope San Marino score.
Not castigating anyone, just think it's a bit ****ty saying you dont care about your team when they're ****. Espescially as from my experiences alot of these people tend to jump on the bandwagon when a tournament comes and we look like getting somewhere (eg. Euro 2012).
I support England but I don't enjoy it. For some reason I always think they'll be better this time.....
I'd rather England win with a clean sheet than suffer San Marino scoring so I'd rather not take risks with defenders as opposed to attackers. If you still dont understand my point I'm afraid I give up.
LTL- agree completely. I gave up on England in the mid nineties when the best player of a generation was constantly ignored
"your team" That's the issue. I think that an awful lot of people don't feel any sort of association with this team unless there's a Saints player in it - who are actually "our team" and I understand that. The problem with the national team is it tends to alienate people rather than gather them to support. For various reasons (that you know, so I can't be arsed to go into them).
That's fair enough, I disagree but each to their own! To me it will always be my team because I'm English and same as Saints that love will never die. Back to the game and glad Chambo is on. Thought Sterling was pretty ineffective in the 1st half.
Happy for Welbeck, gets alot of stick but I really rate him. His England record is decent too. I definitely prefer him to Sturridge in this England team.
Yeah he is outstanding. It really annoys me how some saints fans downplay his ability now he's left. He might be a bit of a prick, but he is bloody good at football.
