    meh. He refused to play for his club to force a move. It wasn't just a threat, he actually sat out games. The situation got ugly, and with many of the big teams already committed, we were in a position to swoop in and at least give him a chance to showcase himself in the Premier League. And that's the only reason he is here. Maybe he somehow falls in love with the place, but as of now I'd say his commitment to the the team long-term is pretty much zero.

    But that's okay. You can't have a whole team full of Manes, but you probably aren't maximizing your resources if you don't have at least one or two. If he comes and plays well, we can get twice what we paid, and then hopefully we sell him without a fuss and buy the next Mane.

    We have rebuilt half our team...if we have a good season, I won't complain if a couple of players are just here until the summer. Koeman will then have a season under his belt and a clearer idea of what he wants and which players can help him achieve him that.
