I can understand people coming FROM Lowestoft just not going there.I say that as someone who lived there until I was 23.

My grandma lived in a small terraced house in Raglan Street. I used to love going there in the Summer Holidays!

What a coincidence! When I worked in the City of London, my favourite pub was The Lord Raglan!

There was a small pub a few doors up come to think of it just next door to a Smoke House!

As a person "from" Lowestoft and still living there outside of my term times I must ask, what is wrong with Lowestoft?

I like Lowestoft and the Cliffs around Pakefield and Kessingland but Southwold and Aldeburgh beat it hands down for aesthetic beauty! <ok>

Mrs. Thurnby and I loved Aldeburgh when we visited a couple of years ago. Good spot for the RSPB reserve up the coast. Southwold was also impressive as an old fashioned but well maintained resort.
