No ****. Something needs to change. I can't think of a season since 2005 where we had our strongest team available for a prolonged period of time. I was hoping Forsyth would help in this regards but soo far its been the same old routine.
Ok enough. Stop trying to bait other users. Same goes for anyone. Last warning. You or anyone else bring up another user in order to stir up ****, comment is getting deleted.
'Expected to be back for the home match with Hull.' Put that through Google translate from 'Arsenalish' to 'English' and you get 'expected to be back in April 2015'
Arsenal's Laurent Koscielny picks up injury with France http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29557116 Laurent Koscielny has picked up a minor Achilles tendon problem while training with France - adding to Arsenal's injury problems. The 29-year-old is however expected to be fit for the Gunners' next match - at home to Hull on 18 October. Team-mate Mesut Ozil was ruled out for between 10 and 12 weeks on Wednesday after the knee injury picked up on club duty was assessed by Germany staff. Midfielders Aaron Ramsey and Mikel Arteta have missed the last two games. Ramsey is set to miss the next three-to-four weeks as he continues his recovery from a hamstring strain, while Arteta could return after the international break after a calf problem. Mathieu Debuchy and Olivier Giroud, who have suffered ankle ligament damage and a broken leg, remain several months from making a comeback. I'll take this with a rather large pinch of salt. Our record with injuries is woeful and especially picking an accurate date back. Thinking about Ramsey and how his return date is growing and growing. On another note, I hope we don't rush him back for the Hull game, as we can't afford to aggravate his injury as we are VERY thin on defensive ground.
My God! How long is it going to be before someone goes into our physioroom and never comes out again - or dies at the club! How we manage to sign people I don't know? Are you fit, healthy and in the form of your life? Then come to Arsenal and we'll break you within a month - you'll never play more than 6 games in a row again!
On the bright side, Arteta-Monreal should be back after the break, the same with Sanogo-Diaby....Walcott-Gnarby will be back to full training, so they'll be back a week-10 days after international break, so that's 6 players coming back, and Ramsey should also be back around a week or 2 after Walcott-Gnarby return. Most players are going to be back in November. But knowing our luck, by the time they return, it will be time to lose Cazorla, Sanchez, Wilshere, and Gibbs.
Oh btw, it would've been nice to rest KOS for Hull and play Chambers there instead, but Chambers is suspended, meaning there isn't any proper adequate back up. Just as many predicted that our defence is too short, and will pay the price, even with all these makeshift defenders being played here and there to make up the numbers.
I don't think anybody would disagree that we are short in numbers in defence. We should have brought in another CB, even if it was just on loan.
I don't even know why we got rid of TV in the first place now if he wasn't ever going to be replaced.
Wenger has never forced players to stay at the club, so he sold him instead of making him stay. That's fair enough if you bring in a replacement, but if you don't then it's bordering on the negligent.
I get that, but if there was no ready replacement, then the club is above the players feelings, plus I think TV was a top professional who wouldn't make a problem behind the scenes, just like he didn't for the whole of last season. The only reason I ever supported TV leaving was because 1) he needed game time and I liked him so fair enough 2) and I thought we had a replacement ready.....I don't think anyone wanted TV gone because he lacked quality, he still could've got the job done for us, so we just lost a very good CB.
Yep we did lose a good CB. I'm not sure about forcing him to stay if he wanted out. But at the very least we should have lined up a loan to replace him.
