Not good news at all. It probably won't be as catastrophically **** as the recent film version of The Sweeney starring Ray ****stone and that pop singer bloke, but it won't be far off.

I haven't seen it and don't need to, it'll be ****. This works for most films coming out nowadays. Next Star Wars film? It'll be ****. Next Transformers film? It'll be ****. Etc...

You going to try and drag this on for 10 pages to point-score? <ASPERGERS>

Good news in the sense that there'll be a raft of potential new victims for 'the curse of Dad's Army'?

Anyone remember Carry On Columbus? It shouldn't have happened.

Some things need to be left well alone, thus preserving the majesty of the original creation.

    Shane Richie in Minder. Sacrilege.

Martin Clunes as Reggie Perrin. Obscene.

    You get the drift.

Actually mate, Martin Clunes as RP wasn't at all bad.

Your point remains generally valid though.

Columbus was bad but it had a few good gags.

Richard Wislon "there's no room here"
Julian Clary "Do you want to come up my end?"

Sadly in those days dear Hash, my locks were shorn, some may call it a tomboy cut. A handsome young wag was I, with cheeky dimples and a rifle. I was quite the ladies man.

You have no joy nor optimism in your life.

Sometimes it disny matter that a movie is "****e". It's a coupla hours of relaxation doing nothing but disengaging yer brain while things on screen go bang and wallop. Especially when ye have a nice snack while watching.

Apparently, most of the already elderly actors have died since the show was filmed 40 years ago. No one can explain it.
