Looks like the incident did involve racist abuse according to a thread made on GasChat I thought this might be the case. This could get us in more hot water like we ****ing need after the Mansfield. The two dickheads who were thrown out walk past me one was piss out his head we don't need people like this associated with are club
If there was racist abuse going on then those responsible should be banned for life, and it would also make those who abused Brown in the aftermath of the incident look a little bit stupid. I've heard Brown speak on the radio before about racism, but I really hope nothing serious happened there.
After the warning from the FA regarding the incident at Braintree where a supporter hit out at a Braintree player...... I wont be surprised if our club get done for this big time in 1 way or another.
Here is Jason Brown's tweets: "Just played against Bristol rovers and was racially abused by someone who was standing next to a steward who chose not to do anything!" https://twitter.com/j_browny32/status/519596859686273024 "I reported it to the ref and pointed at the person who was doing it and surprise surprise no done anything!" https://twitter.com/j_browny32/status/519597141019209728 Someone replied back: "That's awful, don't suppose there was much CCTV there either. Not that it's much use if the stewards don't act." Brown replied: "Of course not. It's interesting because some head steward said that they don't know where he is and now some supporters saying That he was escorted out. Now if I remember correctly racial abuse is a crime and therefore if they did have him they should have held him" https://twitter.com/j_browny32/status/519607065950437376 and https://twitter.com/j_browny32/status/519607065950437376 Kent Police involved: "PM me your contact details Jason so I can take some details to pass on to @ASPolice" https://twitter.com/kentpolicefooty/status/519607807922798592 Brown has also stated: "I ask any Bristol rovers fan that know this idiot and the steward please go and report him don't let him bring down your fantastic club" https://twitter.com/j_browny32/status/519599060726972416 And: "I really and truly appreciate all the support I am getting not only from my own supporter's but from #brfc" https://twitter.com/j_browny32/status/519599060726972416
The post must love making this article as they are very anti Rovers http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/Goalke...ially-abused/story-23056916-detail/story.html but I dont blame at all. Forget football and who we support, this **** needs to be found and dealt with. I hope the FA makes an example of us. I dont like us to lose points or get a fine etc but some of our fans needs to realise that their actions will cost Rovers and hopefully they learn for this. So I hope the club is made an example of. Sorry if that upsets any of you guys but something needs to be done and if we get a big punishment then it may wake a lot of people up who may eveb support other clubs and may stop them acting he same way.
Can't believe some fans on the other two forums think its ok to racially abuse players why are they still on these forums?
That's a bit much! why let one idiot ruin it for everyone? and dent our hopes of getting out of this league.
The only half bad comments I've seen is some fans saying innocent until proven guilty, which is ok to say but when it comes to issues as sensitive as this one other fans jump on there back.
forget rovers and football for a minute. racism is not acceptable as you obviously know. if this happened at city or anywhere else, we all would be saying that we hope the FA throw the book at them. just because its unfortunately our club, we shouldnt feel differently. my point with the points deduction is behind the fact that the FA have a fantastic opportunity here to make an example of us showing the world that racism in football and in the UK is not accepted and will not be tolerated. they have a great chance here to help stop or help reduce the number of racist incidents. that can only be a good thing. in the short term yes a points deduction may hurt our club but in the long term it could make a massive difference to a lot of peoples lives who are abused and affected by racism. if an example is made out of our club then people who make these unacceptable comments will not want the same thing to happen again at our club or if its fans of other clubs they may think twice as they wont want their club to get points deducted. just my opinion which i know wont go down too well. i understand and appreciate that but to me the FA got a great chance to help reduce racism in the game. the FA warned us after braintree that anything else we will get into trouble. after that warning rovers made a statement and this is a key line in that statement: "We, as a club, are responsible for the behaviour of our supporters both home and away, a point which many fans are unaware." http://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/article/safety-message-1935700.aspx the club is responsible for this numpty's comments and actions. so be prepared for points deduction. i will be surprised if we dont and i wont complain if we did.
This is someones comment on another forum: "Yawn I can't help but feel that the worlds gone a bit mad. You can shout, swear, call some ugly/fat/welsh or french this or that. Yet one person in a crowd shouts a word and the GK stops the match to whine to the referee. Yes, there is no place for it, but doesn't it all get a bit out of proportion? It's hardly the days of Rosa Parks, or national front outside of stadiums and bananas on the pitch." i was in shock when i read this. thought it was disgusting.

Ellis Harrison has tweeted..... "When some of your own fans are racially abusing your opponents... What hope do you have! #KMT" Avon & Somerset police have tweeted..... "@j_browny32 Hi Jason, we are currently investigating this."
Tweet From Alistair Durden "Bristol Rovers to give lifetime bans to anyone involved in racially abusing Jason Brown. Hear from Brown & Carl Saunders on @bbcpointswest"
I just watched the local ITV news who went with this as their main news story. They showed some highlights of last nights game including the penalty decision and the penalty itself. Why did it take an act of racism to get them to show our goal?
Points west didn't show the goal. HTV West could get a ticking off for showing it well hopefully they will be sued
