Dr Allam has a dream to build a sports village. This will consist of gym's, Olympic size swimming pools, tennis and squash courts, hotels the lot. At the centre of this village will be a 35000 seater stadium that will host a premier league football club. He has said this will happen within 5 years. He can not have his own way in Hull so he is now in talks with East Riding Council. He has the land and planning permission at Melton. I know the above paragraph is true.
We know money talks and he is willing to lie to get his own way. He needs a premier league football club for the kudos and the revenue to drive this project through. He is trying to steal ours. Hull Tigers is only the first step in the plan. If he gets his own way we will have to travel to Melton to watch East Riding Tigers play. It is only my opinion the above paragraph is true.
I am 51 and have supported Hull City all my life, my son is 18 and has had a season ticket since he was 7. There are a group of 8 of us that have passes for e3, dads, sons, and daughters. We go to city together, home and away. It would break my heart if I lost my team and all this came to an end. I will still buy my pass next year for the KC even if we are called Hull Tigers. What I am struggling with is, when would I say enough is enough and change what I love doing most.
So would someone please tell me that the above can't happen so I can think about something else for 2 minutes.

He doesn't have planning permission and as far as I'm aware doesn't have the land (yet).

He might have the land at Melton, but what would be the point in building a sports village outside of the city? Nobody would go there.

But no money to build it, otherwise it would of been built by now. Just more ****ing bullshit from the demented old fart, just like his threat to walk away if he doesn't get the name change

Yep, it's definitely going to happen. Your fears are well founded.

I suggest you shave your head, don saffron robes, and go and live in a monastery near Katmandu. It's the only viable option. Good luck.

You have to wonder why "Allam family" money has been sunk into Ferriby. Not sure what is going on but I can guarantee it will not be good for this "City" of Culture of ours.

NPL, Nepalese Premier League. Roughly the same standard as the SPL.

I reckon the only chance of stadium development and associated development of surrounding land (incl. Walton Street) is completely dependent on the good 'Doctor' moving on. And Terryatric Geriatric too.

I have very similar fears to yourself btandson, not so much about moving to Melton but more about what happens 5-10 years down the road. Mr A may decide one day that the City of Hull isn't really giving him that good a return on his investment, and moving just a little further down the road than Melton could attract a bigger catchment for games, and probably being in an area with bigger businesses around could attract more corporate revenue. Would he do that?

What, he's doing it all for his dear old dad? "If you build it, he will come".

Katmandu United. What a lousy name. The Katmandu Cats would be much better. They might sell one extra shirt with that.

There are a growing number of newbies with ****e names entering the fray. I think the campaign is entering its next phase. Don't trust Assem Allam or his family, that is the maxim, ignore it at your club's peril. He only does what is good for him.

Compare newbie Btandson's start-date with your own. And "Fez" is such a lyrical, carefully contrived name, innit? Why are you so antagonistic, so belligerent, so ... well ... feckin' obnoxious to people you don't know? Btw, it's "there IS a growing number". Keep up the good work!

Why shouldn't he build the stadium & sports village at Melton, after all 50% of passholders live in the ERYC area

Oh hang on, where is he going to find the £3-400 million that the development would cost ?? <devil>
