Doesn't look good for Bianchi. Once again drivers are put at great risk to stick to TV schedules and this time it could prove costly. Much better conditions earlier in the day but Honda refused requests to move race forward despite this weather having been predicted for days before...

Very sad news and like everyone I hope he pulls through. At least this happens much less now due to the leaps and bounds in saftey for F1.
They used a JCB on a live track in heavy rain to recover a car that aqua planned. Dumb. Race director should have done better, Race should have been run earlier.
I've just seen footage of the crash and it's the worst I've ever seen in F1. The impact sent the Recover JCB into the air. Truly shocking. Jules will need a miracle to recover from this and I hope he gets one.
Bush, The only vid Ive seen looks like quite a harmless slide off. Couldnt understand why it was so bad. So did he hit the JCB or what? Do yo havea link?
Holy ****!!! The only clip i could find showed the black car sliding off. I didnt even ee the JCB get hit by the red one.!! Wow, that was bad. Hope he can recover from that Thanks Nines..I think !
That is horrendous the forces involved to lift a jcb up and slide underneath. Hope the lad pulls through but fear for his quality of life even if he does pull through.
Too many things went wrong here to pick on one, it's the only time I can remember seeing a car hit the recovery Vehicle. Amazing things doctors can do today, look at Kubica, lets just hope he comes out the overside ok.

Why was the recovery truck on before the safety car had 'collected' all the cars on track? A car sliding off on the trickiest part of the track in dire weather, even an idiot could see another sliding off if the race wasn't stopped. Did no-one suss out that the recovery vehicle's base was at head-height? An old friend of mine was killed in a road accident some years ago hitting the back of an articulated lorry, it took his head off. The FIA really should be taken to the cleaners for this, too often driver's safety is an afterthought...
Coulthard and the commentator were convinced the medical car was for Sutil, couldn't see the Marussia at all. Horrible stuff, all the more so because its so unusual nowadays - as Jackie Stewart pointed out.
It's normal proceed if the car is in an easily recoverable area, waved double yellow inform the drivers but in those conditions its a very valid point, especially as some of the drivers were calling for the SC or even the race being ended. Racing is a dangerous enough sport which all the driver understand without this kind of mistake.
