Don't see the link, Roof. At least not at the moment. Ebola can easily be beaten and has only come about through lack of hygiene and stupid superstition combining to deadly effect.

Modern terrorism is down to the Qu'Ran I'm afraid - even though the Bible has its own violent passages that people conveniently forget. Whenever you see a politician or 'moderate' muslim 'scholar' spouting off that ISIS have twisted Islam's teachings for its own ends (how many times do we hear that?) try reading some of their holy book's teachings. In amongst the messages of peace and harmony there are plenty of suras (verses) commanding muslims to kill apostates and infidels (non-believers). ISIS and it's followers haven't twisted or perverted anything - it's in the book if you care to read it. There are no less than 109 suras that call on Muslims to Jihad against non-believers. In its truest form it's a vile religion that espouses supremacy and hatred. That's the problem. Here a just three short examples:

Quran (2:191) - "And kill them (non-believers) wherever you find them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out....and fight them until there is no more Fitnah" (disbelief)

Quran (3:56) - "As to those who reject faith, I will punish them with terrible agony in this world and in the Hereafter, nor will they have anyone to help."

Quran (4:89) "...seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks."

Seems pretty explicit to me. Young, radical Muslims see these horrible teachings as nothing more than a command from Allah and who are they to disobey? The moderate Muslims of the world are the true traitors in their eyes.

<laugh> Now that could work, Monty. I like it!

The point is that whereas I think we all realise that many in ISIS are psychopaths who use Islam as a convenient tool, that religion gives them the justification. All they have to do in order to persuade young Muslims is quote any one of those 109 passages, and voila - an instant warrior of Allah.

This is what happens when people decide to put rationality to one side and act out mythology. If a group decided to become violent based on something Zeus supposedly said in a saga then we'd all think they were nuts and treat them accordingly. The fact that today's religions are not regarded as anything more than tomorrow's mythology is one of our culture's (and I'm talking globally) greatest failings.

Yet Ebola is a disease for which there is no known cure, yet the American and British person were cured, but let's put that down to 'Gods will' <whistle>

Your right roof. isis suicide bombers are rumored to become suicide Ebola carriers and that is a scary thought. and ebola is not easy to cure at all especially a mass outbreak. We should close our borders straight away to be assured that it will be difficult to spread.

Not sure the "Nuke " is the way to go valley... could be a lot of fallout from it .Not worried for myself as Im old , but young generations have a lot of stress to deal with as time goes on .Criminals are criminals , no matter the religion they hide behind .I believe this will happen and the criminals that will bring it into "Western Countries " , will have passports to said country .. very worrying .

I think the carrier would have to spit into your mouth (or something like that) while contagious to transmit the disease. Ebola is not easily transmitted, only by body fluid transfer, and once contagious the carrier is probably not mobile enough to be an effective deliverer of the bio-weapon.

You'd be a good PR man for "There is no global warming " yankee ..lol .Ebola is easy to spread if you're trying to spread it yankee , do you think the thousands of africans were spit on ..One of these "Domestic Criminals " could make arrangments to get ebola and be on a plane the same day , with passports in hand , without showing any fever and be in there home country in a day . When the disease matures and ready to spread , out into the cities they go , sweating , spitting , shaking hands after wiping there brow , barfing and general leaving a trail of death on people , or where people will touch and get it .Hard times for the world in general lmo.

It's not like the aids virus yankee where all that you said is true. Ebola is a thousand times more dangerous that medical people still don't understand. you can catch the virus by almost anything that a carrier has touched and if you even get close to a carrier you dont even have to touch them for you to catch the virus. It is a huge problem that governments are not letting on yet about the scale of terror this disease is and massive threat to mankind...

Unlike other bio-agents that can be released into the air or water and transmitted to others on mass, according to the USA's Center for Disease Control (http://www.cdc.gov/vhf/ebola/transmission/index.html) ....

So unless the carrier is going to sprint through society and make some form of "intimate" bodily contact with masses of people it is hardly a terror weapon. For the carrier to be contagious they have to have entered a phase of the disease where they are not likely to be in any condition to be sprinting.

Mass hysteria from mis-information does not a terror weapon make.

Am I the only person that actually thinks that these big pharmaceutical companies actually have a cure but are waiting for the right time to manipulate the prices for the vaccine?
