Keeping Rangers in top flight will be the best thing since he met her, apparently

Sandra Redknapp will be pleased to know wooing her way back will equate to keeping Rangers in the top flight.

Hubby Harry used it as a throw away line for the tough task demanded of him as Hoops prop up the table and as the only club without an away point.

There was no disguising a poor performance at West Ham on Sunday , one which the chairman reckoned wasn’t ‘good enough, and the manager said lacked ‘energy .’

But Redknapp insists Rome wasn’t built overnight, and wants the same time to build a successful squad as Sam Allardyce got in the opposite dug-out, and Leicester’s Nigel Pearson.

Rangers needed a succession of loans to get out of the Championship last season, and were undone by transfer deals that did or didn’t happen days before the transfer window closed in August.

It transpires Rs were discussing a contract extension with striker Loic Remy when Chelsea triggered a contract release , and Fabio Borini at Liverpool wanted phone number wages to join QPR.

Harry explained: "It takes time to build a team. When you’ve got two, three, fours years at a club, you can build a team.

"When you’re in the Premier League and you survive, next year you can bring in three or four more players.

“Leicester had a team last year - we didn’t; we had loans, and were left with a dozen players and needed to improve that group.

“If we can stay in the league next year we can bring in another three or four players and you’ll build a team that can start moving up the table.

“Keeping Rangers up? The best achievement since I pulled my missus.”

Both QPR and Mrs Arry have a seemingly inexhaustible patience when it comes to the old fool?

Both were better looking in the 70's? (Note I don't know what Harry's other half looks like)
Both look better in thicker hoops?
