Well thankfully Di Matteo will not be in the running. He's off to Schalke. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/29517690
Sky Sports reporting he has been sacked, whereas a lot of rumours suggesting he left to go to Fulham - and he is now 4/5 and favourite to be next Fulham manager, although guess this is just reaction to the overnight news. If he did quit after just 8 days to move to Fulham then can see a pretty frosty reception for him when we play Fulham!
These changes have recently happened during the international breaks so they could be planned by the owners. It would help if they explained the reasoning sooner or later.
Got some inside info for us.......(take this for what it is) only two people in the running for the job and that's Malky and Hasselbaink
FRANK SMITH: So who is your manager? MATĚJ VYDRA: We don't have a manager. FRANK SMITH: What? LEWIS MCGUGAN: I told you. We're an player-driven commune. We take it in turns to act as a sort of executive officer for the week. FRANK SMITH: Yes. LEWIS MCGUGAN: But all the decision of that officer have to be ratified at a special biweekly meeting. FRANK SMITH: Yes, I see. TROY DEENEY: By a simple majority in the case of purely team affairs, but by a two-thirds majority in the case of tactical and club matters...
He might be inexperienced but at least Galli wanted the job. And he'd sort out the defence, surely. Never dull being a Hornet, but this is getting silly.
Interesting report seems the Pozzo's want a foriegn manager, perhaps when the offered him the job initially they thought the Scots had voted YES
The way I see it, it is either; Fulham have turned McKinlay's head before he has signed a contract - they do have this new 5-man board to select the manager and maybe identified him as a target or someone has come available that the Pozzo's want I think the biggest, and possibly only, mistake in all this is that they probably should have put him in as Caretaker Manager for a short period, rather than take over as soon as Garcia went
To be honest folks, I can do without this. I've got a house full of builders ripping things apart, only my wife to tell me what they're doing cos i can't stand there looking over their shoulders, anxiety levels running high which is bad for my MS, and now THIS!!!! If I get through to the weekend I'll let you know.
So...the Pozzos want a foreign manager (note, foreign and not necessarily Italian). They want a possible windfall from our premier league - they want a stadium full of English football fans yet they apparently hold the quality of English football to be so inferior that any foreigner must be better than what we have here. If Billy was indeed sacked, as the article states, then I hope he takes the Pozzos to the cleaners having previously given up the N.I. post for Watford.
