And not all referees are robots and can use common sense if they try.
Sometimes they end up at the same game.

Makes you wonder, with our "Professional" referees, making decisions when it is quite clear they are guessing.
I would have more respect for them if they held their hands up and said I wasn't 100% sure so I couldn't give a decision. Rather than, well that looked like what must of happened.
Players could help as well, not pretending they have just been attacked by a rabid Tiger.
If the players had clear cases of deception to answer for on videotape, they would think twice about trying to cheat.
I would include the players claiming, handballs and throw ins etc., when they know they are just trying it on, too.
Even with video technology now, I wouldn't expect this to happen during a live match, but it could be looked at retroactively.
And the cheats would think twice about doing it next game.

An official in the stands with video footage would improve decisions, add sterner punishments for diving it would wipe a lot of cheating out. Too, players just wouldn't risk it.

Yes but the FA would then have to give every club a level playing field! We can;t have the like of lowly Sunderland having the same refereeing treatment as Liverpool, Man City or Chelsea now can we!!!
