The table looks a bit **** at the moment. We are below Utd and Spurs, HIAG must be having a Jizz fest. although there's just 3 points separating 3rd and 10th and 3 points separating 4th and 16th !
Linked once again to a January move for khedira, this time the daily star. Woops wrong thread! A mod can move it over to the transfer rumour thread please
2010 : If only we get some real quality in the window . 2011 :If only we get some real quality in the window . 2012 : If only we get some real quality in the window 2013 : If only we get some real quality in the window . 2014 : if only ......................................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz aahhh feck it , Bellerin will do for us.
That comments shows what you (don't) know about Bellerin. Also seeing as you picked the RB position, do you think that Debuchy and Chambers were also a case of 'ahh feck it, they will do' ?
I know it's a bit of a cliche. But the table really doesn't mean all that much up until about Christmas/January I think. It's still very early days.
because that you still seem to think the problems can be solved by buying this or that player . Talk about blind . Chelsea game .....not ONE shot on target in 90 minutes . Not ONE . Thats not about individual players . Its about the way they are instructed to play . he could buy Messi and he would tell him to play a useless passing game . It aint the orchestra . Its the conductor.
because idiots like you think that buying Khedira would mark some kind of turning point. You are always waiting for something to happen , for it all to just magically click . It wont . Not while he is dictating the type of play. Havent you learned that yet .? He has reached his level . 4th place struggle . The odd F A cup The odd League cup if teams like Southampton have a bad day .
Wow, all that because I posted something I saw while reading the bbc gossip column lol. I always put rumours I see onto the forum even when it's silly ones or players I wouldn't want. Think your reading into something that isn't there again buddy.
side stepping the issue as usual You said 'aah feck it, Bellerin will do' That shows you know nothing about the quality of Bellerin and furthermore it shows that you have either ignored the other two players that we bought in that position, or you don't rate them. So do you think Chambers and Debuchy were a case of 'ah feck it, they will do' ?
What quality? Watched him at youth level, he can't defend, and i don't mean that he's poor, i mean that he's totally useless. He's good going forward, but defensively he's a catastrophe waiting to happen. And Debuchy looked to be a case of "ah feck it, he'll do." Not really a show of ambition to replace Sagna with a vastly inferior, yet barely younger player.
Completely disagree with your assessment of Bellerin and Debuchy. As poor as we were against Dortmund, Bellerin was actually one of our best players. The times he's played in the first team, he's shown good defensive maturity, good positioning, being able to show the attacker which way he wants him to go, made good blocks, stopped crosses and shown good impetus going forward. As for Debuchy, his introduction into the team was almost seamless, so that tells you how well he was playing. Sagna was a great RB so for Debuchy to come in and fill that position tells you about his quality. Also there's a reason why he's ahead of Sagna in the French national team.
You saying Wenger tells the players not to shoot at goal? The manager sets up the formation and, if worth his pay, tells them not to lose the ball easily or cheaply. From there it is the players on the pitch who make the decisions whilst the ball is in play, the manager can`t tell them where to run or when to pass etc. A good manager will spot a weakness in the opposition (slow fullback, gap between defence and midfield etc) and will try to organise his team to take advantage of this but once the players take the field it is up to them to play the game.
so you may as well have kept Moyes then . After all , he had no bearing on the football at all. Lets get rid of all coaches . Let the players decide how they wanna play . Right on comrade ! Player power !
and do the players also decide to wait until you are 2 goals down and 20 minutes left before anyone is subbed. Are they happy to sit and watch a team make NOTHING , for 70 minutes before considering a change of personnel. ? I think thats down to Mr Wenger . Maureen makes changes according to the gameplay and by a minute by minute basis. Wenger by a month by month basis . Mmmm Ozil has not done well in that position this month , i will give him another month then think about moving him... dinosaur adaptability .
That's a crazy assessment of Debuchy, considering how early in the window we got him, the apparent work (or so it seemed) that Wenger spent getting him, the fact that he kept Sagna out of the French team, and his performances for us before he got injured. I mean he may or may not be better than Sagna, depending on your PoV, but an experienced French international with PL experience, whose slotted in well and given good performances, and who was bought strategically as a replacement for Sagna early in the window, is hardly a 'he'll do' signing!
I said it earlier, but the seamless way that Debuchy has slotted into this Arsenal team tells you that he's at least as good as Sagna. In fact, even if he's at the same level he's still better because he actually wants to play for Arsenal, whereas Sagna wanted to warm the bench at City.
