Recent interviews with Pardew so far he has said that all the big signings, gameiro, gervinho, erdinc etc have stalled or fell through. He has went on to praise the other signings he has made most of which where on a free.

Demba Ba failed a medical at stoke 6 months ago and made just 12 appearances for west ham. This signing was made and pushed through even with question marks over fitness to appease the fans wanting a striker.

Marveaux hasn’t kicked a ball in 9 months and has been plagued with groin injuries throughout his career.

Ben Arfa was a incredibly talented footballer but not many footballers retain that ability after a break like his.

Cabaye is a good signing but premiership level is a lot higher than ligue 1.

Abeid is for the future and wont play first team football this year. How many youngsters do we buy and say they have a bright future but never feature in the first team? Answer loads.

Ashley will keep at least 25m of the remaining 28.25m left. We will sign one more player which will probably be Neil Taylor. The sooner we all wake up and realise this the better. He’s taking us for a ride again and because of these weak signings most of the 55, 000 who will be filling his pockets gain next year believe it.

If we do make a top signing I will gladly be made to look like a fool but I WONT happen.

IF these new players prove successful additions, and IF Carroll doesn't surprise us all by going on to become the most complete forward since Romario and Van Basten, then surely you have just argued the case FOR some brilliant football business management... Or would you rather have spent £30 million on similar talent and received considerably less for a wantaway Carroll and Nolan?
