It wasn't far from Billy Bly's shop

 

There was another garage opposite Kenning, I think it was Gordon Armstrong's.

 

I reckon I've been wrong. The A63/A164 road markings show it.

 

Never seen or heard of this model OLM, neat though.

 

There was and it was knocked down to make way for a DIY place International, which didn't last for long.

I seem to remember it was a Neto's for a time also.

 

Long before the left-hand corner became Burtons.

You could be right there John, heard Netto are on the way back in a tie up with Sainsburys, don't know when though.

I think I have progressed though Chezza, never smoked, legal or illegal substances, but my progression is as such, cider, mild, larger, mixed, bitter, back to mild, DD (lovely pint), Guinness (yuch), DD, wine (the classy stuff Lambrini lol) Chardonnay, red wine (any) and now Brandy (with or without Pepsi). I've settled on Brandy as I can't take the sheer bulk of beer any more and I stopped liking it anyway.

The was another Kennings car showroom there in the later 70s / early 80s I think. I've a vague memory of looking around it with my dad while he pretended he was interested in cars he could never afford for something to do one afternoon.

 

Ye near Arglye St. Also there was a TC Harrison somewhere there, which even now whenever i meet someone called Harrison, TC Harrison theres no comparison goes through my head.

 

Kennings had another place on Hessle road somewhere close to where ASDA is now.

 

Kennings was on the old B&Q / Tradex site
Armstrong Massey was opposite on the Former Netto site which is now Iceland
Just over the flyover was Thompson of Hull virtually opposite the "Eagle" pub.
Just passed HRI heading into town was "Crystal of Hull"
Then Triangle Motors
Then Parish's

 

that was an old tram depot so may have been their tram lines .

there was an old train line that follows the cindertrack north past SBW , i saw the old railway crossing on the good old days FB page a while back - never seen it before !!
